I think they should add an illusion spell that makes them commit suicide. All in favor?

It all depends on the character, 'course. I've got one who creeps about the shadows, stealthily thinning out the crowd with a few arrows to the head and then reaching for her sword and diving into the fray to make quick work of the remaining stragglers. I've got another who scorches solitary or weak enemies with a blast of fire but deals with more powerful or numerous foes by conjuring up an atronach and running for the hills while her champion takes care of the situation. She can be pretty cruel when someone has seriously peeved her off, though - she dealt with the Butcher of Windhelm by charbroiling him until only a sliver of his health was left and then healing him up to do it all over again. And again. And again. Aaaand again. When he finally burned to death, she raised him as her thrall and preceded to repeat the procedure a few more times until she got bored and allowed him to disintegrate into a pile of ash. Fun times! And then I've got my hippie Sleeping Tree Sap addict who's never killed a single creature in her life. She just Calms or Fears everyone and they leave her be.

With my charming magnetic Orc personality i invite my enemies to join me in a merry dance of Head Bunt Smash Delight! Oh my what fun it is to go round and round using my battleaxe to hold me enemy in place as he flutters about off his feet like a little fairy as i go Bamitty! Bam! Bam! Head Bunt Smash Delight!

Tooo bad his brain slowly pours out his skull like mushy oatmeal because he wasnt wearing any safety helmet.

So yay for two handed weapons as well thee old one handed slicey thingy when i feel like going Choppity Chop! Chop!

My assassin, new character build - Dual Enchanted Daggers of Stamina and Health Drain with a combination of stealth

My necromage- Enjoys setting oil on fire and watching the hanging lanterns fall to the ground and explode plode plode in a plummage of fire and then reincarnating the draugr that had died in the explosion as his dead minions to fight off the horde of undead not shaken by the fire.

I can pick off most weak enemies with my bow, stop slightly stronger ones before they reach me, and for those who actually get to me, I cut them down with a greatsword. In large groups I'll try to cast fury on a few of them to thin their numbers.

I fry them with lightning until there's no one left or I run out of magicka. If there are any survivors I'll engage them with sword and axe

Eventhough am playing an Orc who prefers the fiery holocaust of jumping right into the enemy throng and swinging away furiously i will use a bow on many occasions when facing enemies to sharpen my hunting skills which need much improvement if i want to catch them tasty venison filled deer and elk.

I do a bit of everything. I started out as sword and board warrior with weak archery skill to soften the people up a bit. But it feels so natural and right to kill people with sneak archery when you can. So I got better at archery. I often had to force myself to do go into melee combat even when I didn't want to so that the one-handed, block and heavy armor skill didn't fall behind too much. When my sneak got good enough through sneak archery and sneak attacking sleeping draugrs, I started sneak backstabbing people instead of sneak archery. It was very fun and I kept doing it. Then my sneak progressed very quickly and I put lots of points into the sneak tree, because it was fun. Backstabbing is very fun. My illusion skill got very good because I kept using muffles for backstabbing. I'm thinking of adding invisibility to the bag of tricks.

I'm hoping for new ways to kill people as I move past level 22, thinking about conjuration, will put my non-self restoration skills to work

I don't really kill citizens with my main character only people who are annoying, enemies, people who are annoying, people who I have to kill, people who are annoying and........oh yeah! People who are annoying. (frickin invincible kids) I kill them with dual wielded axes.
My assassin character uses dagger-shadow warrior trick.
My poison bow guy uses, obviously, poisoned bows. Well, technically its poisoned arrows.
My mage uses his favorite spell, Incinerate, and occasionally some Master destruction spells.
My shield bash-infinite restoration character slowly kills his enemies with bashes, charges and power bashes, restoring his stamina and health with restoration, using that restore stamina with restoration spells perk.
I have some more characters, but they're not really important or they don't kill people who don't attack first.

My two favorite types of combat in this game are Archery and Sword/Board.

The blocking mechanics are so well done with a shield how can you not enjoy it? I really like how they do Archery as well.

Hard for me to get into spellcasting because its like an enemy sees me, I have to cast Oak/Stone/Whatever flesh and then basically walk/run backwards trying to hit them whilst avoiding contact myself.

Oh and can't get into illusion either. So I cast it on someone and then watch the computer beat itself up?

The sneaky assassin with bow, arrows and poison.

I mostly do this as an "assassin" but what I really like to do is cast "Frenzy" into a crowded room...tee hee..unlike our previous poster

My witchhunter attacks with poisoned (with weakness to magic) bound bow and let's his rune traps do the rest.

My vigilant of stendarr just charges in and hopes for a nice kill cam with his sword =P.

I love slitting some throats with my dagger. But stealth kills with the bow is a lot easier.

I absolutely adore one-hits with the bow. There's something exhilarating about downing an enemy at a distance without anyone having a clue. That said, when the bow isn't enough, or I find myself in uncomfortable proximity, I dual wield sword and dagger while trying to out maneuver my opponent. I'm not afraid of close quarters combat, but the greater the distance, the less the risk oft times.

Daggers, arrows, and poison. Paralysis for over 20 seconds and Damage Health is my favorite, but I hoard those.

I'm kind of torn as a killer right now. I started out as a poor, simple thief, then got mixed up with the wrong people since I was good at silently killing. Now I'm almost addicted to it, and first I killed anyone who annoyed me (starting with Nazeem) and whoever didn't like me, then whoever bored me with repetitive dialogue. Now Whiterun is half empty and people are only alive because I like them or are essential, and Riften is mostly gone except the Thieves Guild.

An unapologetically random one.

Niamh prefers a bow but will use fire and/or an axe or on occasion her fists if she has to.
