It was 12:15pm on a Wednesday. I was in junior school, time for lunch. Skulking around the cafeteria, I made my way to the door of the kitchen, the heart of the cafeteria. Avoiding the eyes of the lunch lady, I found a door and upon opening it, I found stairs illuminated by the dim glow of a naked lightbulb above. Once I made my way down, a sight met my eyes which made my jaw drop; for infront of me was the main kitchen of my school.
Children, about 12, almost starved to the bone, were scraping burgers along the mould encrusted walls and then placing them in a conveyor belt. The conveyor brought the burgers to a pen filled with human faeces, more children then began to roll the burgers in the brown, liquidy substance. The burgers were then sandwiched in between two buns and brought up to the cafeteria where a chubby fat kid gobbled down the burger with delight, oblivious to the goings on downstairs.
