What was the new update? : Fallout: New Vegas

Steam patched my game at about 3am last night anyone know what it was?

No idea, but as of today my game crashes every time I try to save, both quicksaves, autosaves and.. gonna check manual saves.

edit: Yep, those too..

What is the falloutNV.exe file version? it does not list the version in the game

The latest version is 1.1.1.271 and that was released on Friday.

The only way to fix my crashing was to load an older save, luckily that one was an autosave.

Im thinking that the "update" was perhaps just your steam replacing a corrupt file or whatever? It did for me when I verified the game files.

So has the Steam Cloud started to sync again?
I am in the UK and it hadn't last night (Monday) and being at work have been unable to check it out.
I am hoping it will fix things but I ain't gonna hold my breath!
I have managed an hours play as the game keeps randomly crashing after I done the character creation.
