What Would You Change?

i would make it so there was a decent ps3 port I don't care for gameplay changes I couldn't play skyrim for months because of the pathetic excuse of a port that ps3 skyrim is

After around 120 hours of Skyrim, I've cleared a good portion of the map, and have discovered a lot of what there is to be discovered. Little details, large details, bugs, things that absolutely made me burst out laughing. But as much as Skyrim has gotten better, it's gotten worse in some ways. Which brings me to my question for everyone reading.

If you could change 1 thing in Skyrim, what would it be? Not bugs, If you worked at Bethesda and you were given the choice to add 1 idea to the game or remove a certain thing, What would it be?

Mine would be the Menu System.
It feels too...wrong. I don't know how to explain it really but It just doesn't have a fluent feel to it.

A much higher difficulty option.

Change the UI that looks good with a simple one that works faster and/or change the journal that doesn't provide enough information with a journal that provides enough information.

Reputation system. This should pretty much makes me feel more rewarding when I've completed something.. I'm very bothered when I became the harbinger of the companions and the guards still treat me like I'm some milk drinker!

Oh I'd also like to add that the ranking system for each guild in Morrowind is a nice feature. It's a clever way of blocking out characters that aren't suitable to be in that particular guild. (so to become a certain rank... you'll need, say, 50 destruction skill or whatever). So you need to be at a certain rank to continue the quest, etc. I don't understand why Skyrim doesn't have this feature...

The dialogue "trees". More branches, options with different outcomes wouldn't hurt.

This definitely, the journal is a huge step down from Oblivion. I mean where am I suppose to go without the quest markers, you can't do it.
Quest markers still appear on the map if you disabled the compass.

More than anything I want NPC's that are more life like. I get so tired of the constantly repeated phrases, the lack of recognition of my accomplishments or events in the game world, how they don't notice when their friend dies right in front of them, the way the shop keepers all say the same lines. I just want them to add to the realism instead of detracting from it so badly. Other than scripted scenes, which are just fine, they are the weakest part of the game for me.

The horrid UI is easily fixed with http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863 in case you didn't know

As to what I would change .. Hmm gonna have to be how everything you do in the game has zero impact on the world. Nobody cares if you're the supreme leader of whatever guilds or if you slaughtered an entire village etc. Sure people like you if you sell their own crops to them (...) but it's rather silly. So yeah, that's what I would change.

That would just be OP on a gigantic scale.

I would definitely change the menus, (I haven't been able to get SkyUI because I cannot download the script extender for some reason), as well as the Civil War questline. Was it Bethesda's idea to force me to pick a lesser of two evils?

The ability to bash doors open. for example, picking a lock is silent and stealthy, or you can use a heavy weapon to break the lock and open the door, but it's loud and will result in detection.

This!!! Also acrobatics, good guilds questlines, the armor slots from Morrowind, and silence the [censored]in NPCs so they don't speak unless I ask them.

I'm not sure which I would change...

The bad balance or that choices are nearly meaningless or that racism is portrayed poorly or almost no recognition for accomplishments

Marriageable Khajiit and Bosmer
lol
:turned:

If not that, then I'd probably add Attributes, those definitely made your character different from others.
Oh and Water Walking, Can't go wrong with Jesus Boots :o

Agreed. I would it implement the way it was in Daggerfall. It was more in depth, and gave you feeling of actually designing a character.

I would remove the plethora of Draugr infested crypts in favor of more variegated monster-types.

I'd find the guy who decided to ditch everything that was good about the series in previous games and replace it with extra helpings of hitting dragons with swords (to the sound of dumb chanting noises).... and then I would do something very unpleasant to him, which might or might not be fatal.
