What would you like to see Bethesda redo?

Post » Fri Aug 05, 2011 4:40 pm

Over the years there have been many games that just did not get a sequel or had gone astray. But if you could see them come back to life again like the fallout series what would you suggest?
I would love to see them do a Shadowrun series with its rpg roots not like the last remake of this classic. A futuristic mix of magic and tech in a sprawling metropolis with the style that they have done with fallout and elder scrolls I for one would be hard pressed not to get such a title.

I would also like to see them take over the Vampire the Masquerade series. Modern day series with familiar towns and geography settings of the real world with occult backgrounds.
While I would like to see these done with today's tech I would like to see other peoples thoughts of not just these being done but other titles out there that I may have forgotten or never heard of.

And who knows maybe someone will read these and one of our dreams could come true.

Hell no. With their writers they'd surely ruin the fantastic World of Darkness.

Final Fantasy. They can't screw it up any more that Squeenix already has.

I'd rather have no Final Fantasy before that.

I could not endorse every part of this statement more strongly. :foodndrink: I'm amazed that one of the best RPG backdrops ever still sits un-utilized by (RPG) game developers. Ignore the Microsoft title (that had nothing to do with Shadowrun) and the earlier SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive titles. None of them are Shadowrun, IMO.

I'd like to see Bethesda re-do Arena. Maybe Daggerfall...or the Terminator games. I don't want to see them take over other franchises, to be honest. I think they should stick to their own.

A sequel to Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. It's so detailed and wonderful and incredibly interesting. There was so much potential.

Heehee. :P

I would say "Daggerfall" but Todd would probably leave us with only 5 skills and reduce DF's size to a postage stamp - er, I mean TESIV-sized.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'm happy with the direction the dev studio is taking with their "RPG" games, I'm not sure I'd even buy any more games made by them.
