So, what do you think of Skyrim's color scheme?

I personally think it's a really nice artistic choice. Skyrim's muted color scheme suits the regions cold climate very well. I have a friend though who can't play without the FXAA injector mod, which in my opinion makes some areas look fantastic but others too oversaturated. I've tried playing with mods that change the color palate into a more vibrant one but I always keep coming back to the vanilla, less-vibrant Skyrim. To each his own, I suppose. Do you guys use any mods altering the color scheme like FXAA or ENB? Would you prefer if Skyrim used a color scheme resembling that of Oblivion, or do you like it as it is?

This should be in the Skyrim Mods forums and not here ...

Skyrim is very visually appealing as it is, but I definitely wouldn't mind more vibrant colors.

Aye, same here. The whole greyness of it does get a bit depressing after a while, I would gladly see some place with more colors in them. Not as much as Oblivion though, that game is a bit too colorful :P

This. Sometimes it's just too drab. Too many shades of gray, which fits the atmosphere but I would love to see more vibrant colours indeed.

I like it, if a bit dun at times.

I love how it is. I think that the occasional color burst from flowers or the night sky is even better against the overall muted palette. Indoors I tend to collect bright, shiny things to use as decorations. Even the fires seem warmer after snowstorms or mist.

I’ve seen screenshots and videos that use mods to brighten everything, and I very much prefer how my vanilla game looks.

I thought the colors themselves were nice. The wonderful autumnal yellows and reds in The Rift are my favorite colors in any Elder Scrolls game. I like the cold blue of the mountains in the distance, the greenish blue of the water in the sulfur pools.

What I disliked was the desaturation. I had to mod that out. A mod called Realistic Lighting with Customization allowed me to tweak its .ini file to make Skyrim nearly as colorful as Cyrodiil. I like it a lot better that way.

I like the artistic design of the game but I think it could use some more vibrant colors.

I prefer Oblivion's brighter style, but I think Skyrim's colors fit the setting well.
