what do you think skyrim needs?

Need to be able to have kids with your spouse and be able to teach them how to hunt, wield a blade, and how to send their bully flying hundreds of feat away. But seriously though there could be a lot of options with it.

No more kids! They're too damn annoying already. We need instead brothels, skirts, boobs, to forget about the stupid wife.

Spouse and kids are made painfully irrelevant by the strange marriage system. Kids should be just for decoration purposes to make the world feel more realistic.

Marriage should be scrapped. At best you can choose to have a lover that lives in your home. Marriage is just downright creepy in this setting and should only belong in other genres like Sims 3.

I too prefer more dialogue options with companions (like Fallout New Vegas) than this strange marriage system.

Great game but these would certainly improve it and while they are not needed they are sorely wanted by me and many others.
-Choices. Choices that impact the gameworld in meaningful ways.
-A journal that gives you enough information to complete quests without quest markers.
-Better pacing, writing, and presentation for the factions along with more length.
-Balanced smithing and enchanting or Artifacts that are more powerful or up to par with anything you can craft and enchant in the game.
-More monster variety in the leveled lists. All I fight are Draugr, Bandits, Falmer, animals and the rare occasional monster(trolls, spriggans, ice wraith etc etc) along with Dragons. Mix it up more.
-Enhanced magic system. If there is no spell making then keep every form of magic relevant and worthwhile. If I want to use flames to kill something at level 81 then let my flame spell reflect my mastery of Destruction.
-proper character recognition(no calling the Harbinger of the companions a boy who fetches mead for the companions, saying to keep my hands to myself when my pickpocketing skill is like 14 and I am perfectly capable of burning him to a cinder with destruction magic.

More cowbell! If there's one thing this world needs, it's more cowbell!

It's too much about Kill Everything that moves. There should be choices involving mercy and forgiveness. Sometimes an enemy cries "mercy" when he or she has just a little life left. If you let these enemies live, the just attack you again after resting a little. Then you have to finish them off.

There should be some penalties for unnecessary killing. I killed a mammoth recently. I didn'f feel good about it.

One of the most interesting things about Skyrim is that it can make you feel guilty or embarrassed. I snuck into Betild's house late at night to kill her in her sleep. Lydia was following me at the time. I felt to ashamed to do it while Lydia was watching. I took her back to Breezehome, then returned to finish the job.

i'm not really comfortable with killing strictly for money. Yet if you decline these quests, you miss out on a lot of play.

Pretty much what I wanted in Skyrim. To add to that I would like more memorable companions as well.

I agree with this. Especially the Journal part. Skyrim's journal is pretty bad. It just tells you "Go here", "Kill this person here", etc.

A lot more spell tomes would be a good start.

I agree, there should be an equal number of alternative options for non-evil characters.

You should be able to marry more than one person; bring on the polygamy!

Last, and most important, PLAY-TESTING!

Really the Journal is probably the most important part of that list for me. The just go here and just do this attitude just kills it for me. It makes it so obvious I am doing a fetch quest I have a hard time imagining it as anything else. I manage it but it takes a lot of effort.
