Is Skyrim Nexus recommended to use over Steam Workshop?

I'm looking at these so far:

Is there a 64 bit exe available yet? I read suggested somewhere that crashes can be encountered from too many mods?

I still don't get why people hate the Workshop.

Skyrim2K is an HD texpack, which covers the ground. I highly recommend it.

SkyUI is far superior to the vanilla UI, which was built for consoles. Covers UI and Inventory.

More Rain makes it rain harder and more often. Covers rainfall.

Moonpath is quite awesome for the fact that it's a mod. At least in my eyes anyways. I have it and have done some of it. It's hard to say, for a mod I think it's great. But if Bethesda released that I'd be disappointed. SkyUI is extremely popular although I haven't tried it yet. The others I don't know anything about.

Everyone has their opinions. I prefer Nexus.. but I don't have any reason to hate Steam workshop other than the one time I tried to use it, it didn't work.
