What is your best skill?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:54 pm

Or better yet, what are your top three skills?

For me Destruction of 92, Alteration of 81, and Alchemy of 77 at lvl 41.

I am curious how and what other people have done.

The total break down for me would be:

Illusion 50
Conjuration 54
Destruction 92
Restoration 53
Alteration 81
Enchanting 44 (largely just from charging items)
Smithing 33
Heavy Armor 17
Block 20
Two-Hand 17
One-Hand 45
Archery 49
Light Armor 34
Sneak 70
Lockpicking 69
Pickpocket 20
Speech 60
Alchemy 77

Archery, alchemy and sneak that character is waaay OP though so I don't use him much anymore as it gets a bit old.

I'm largely a sort of marauder, with 1H, Light Armor, Smithing and Speech taking precedence over my other skills. Makes for a very fun character, where you have a great damage output but have to rely on dodging to avoid dying. Also, while a sword and dagger isn't the most efficient loadout, it sure is fun. Shame I had to start over when my other character got corrupted. I had 100 in 1H and Smithing by then. :shakehead:

Illusion - By far my favorite skill of them all.
Conjuration - A solid second because of Dead Thrall.
The rest are pending.

Well, I'm level 67, so got a lot maxed out...but 'best' three:

One-handed, Block, Heavy Armour. Out of those, block is the most useful and essential.

My chief weapon is surprise! Yes, surprise and fear...

Okay, my two weapons are fear and surprise, and ruthless efficiency!

THREE! My three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency... and an almost fanatical devotion to the divines...

MY FOUR... umm...let me start again:

Amongst my weaponry are such elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical devotion to the divines!

My top 3 highest skills? All of 'em.

But my favourite skill would be archery. I love popping arrows into enemies faces from 200 feet away :D

After that would have to be sneak (goes hand in hand with archery), followed by either one-handed or block (for the shield charge perk!)

My Character is level 81 so he has all skills maxed out.

But, I could say the three Skills I use the most...

Two-Hand (I like Claymores more than normal Blades)
Restoration (Never go wrong with healing Spells)
Conjuration ("I will feast on your heart!"x2)

1) Destruction. Skill - 88
2) Conjuration. Skill - 65
3 Sneak. Skill - 57. Oddly enough I haven't used a single perk in this skill yet. Didn't even realize it was that high.

After those three, the next in line are (in order) Alteration, Enchanting, Alchemy, then Illusion. My character has never touched a weapon ever...conjured or not.

Level 42. Two handed 91, Smithing 88, and then I think Lockpicking (over 80). I still have multiple skills below 20, and both one handed and block are below 35.
I never trained lockpicking and I'm not a thief, but as an Argonian started it high, so I was able to open every lock I came across in the course of normal adventuring. Plus, I used the Steed Stone instead of the Warrior Stone, so there was no reason for it not to go up as fast as other skills, I guess.

Character is only Lv.6, so they're only at 40 and 34 respectively.

Anyone else feel that these numbers are essentially meaningless? Sneaking is pretty much as fun at 50 as it is at 100... perhaps more fun. And a bow skill of 50 vs. 100, both kill the target. Skyrim isn't about the end-game... I doubt anyone could even define it.
