what's your favourite race and build

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:42 am

Hi im new to the forum not sure if i posted it in the right place but what's your favourite race and build i tend to be a high elf full on mage focussing on destruction alteration restoration alchemy and enchanting. I use to play a sneaky dark elf using destruction archery sneak light armour and lock picking. But recently i played as a breton all rounder who focusses with one handed, block, archery, sneak, destruction, lock picking and restoration he is not as good as my others but more fun to play and i made some fan fiction about him.

I'd say Breton Battlemage.
Was always bad at stealth (asides from Assassins Creed)

So far that'd be my Nord warrior. he was also a murderer (also did contracts for the db). I am beginning to enjoy my Altmer mage though. but I'm still struggling a bit with his actual story, and his motivations for his actions.

I play all kinds of characters - I like to get the most out of Elder Scrolls games. I usually prefer stealthy builds though, using sneaky tactics and killing from the shadows. The Khajiit are perfect for this in my opinion, so they are my favourite race to play.

Although for Skyrim my first character was a sword n' board Nord. It seemed appropriate and sounded nice.

Recently ive been creating the ultimate vampire and basicly all ive done is just play to the vampires strentghs, which are sneaking, illusion, conjuration and destruction. One handed goes well with sneaking and the restoration line is great for protection against fire and replinishing magic, health and stamina Which is a blessing in the sun. And necromage just makes everything sweeter. And because this class is so magic focused high elf works best because of the bonus to magicka and the magic regenerating abilities. But even then magic runs out sometimes so one handed blades come in handy. I call myself creating a Volkihar Vamp so I use icy destruction spells when I am at long range or I cant control someone with illusion. the frost breath and ice form shouts go well with this theme. Perks get stretched thin with this playstyle so I substitute conjuration perks with the ritual stone which lets me summon anyone and everyone nearby once a day and the vampires servant for single shot ressurection. Only about 3 perks are put into sneak as im pretty good at it and being a vampire is a big help. I dump a few perks into light armor as well so I wont be butchered in melee. I use a lot of magic equipment to aid me too like the ring of namira which gives a big stamina boost as well as health. Dark brotherhood armor is great but nightingale armor is better because its perfect for a vampire. Illusion spells are cheaper, extra frost resist and extra stamina, bonus to lock picking and one handed as well as muffle. And for my nightingale role I choose strife as it can quickly cripple multiple enemies and restore my own health, its like an amped up one shot version of vampiric drain. The blades I use are either the nightingale blade because of the vampiric qualities or chillrend because of the ice and paralyses. Thats my favorite playstyle so far, I just cant wait to take it even further by becoming a Vampire Lord.

Well I started with a Breton Battlemage, but that got kinda boring since I didn't focus on anything really (went all over the place in terms of perks) so I recently started a couple new characters:

A Dunmer necromancer vampire. Focuses on Archery for assassinations, Restoration, Sneak, and Conjuration. I plan on doing some Illusion stuff, but haven't got there yet.

The other character is an Orc berserker basically. Heavy Armor, Two Handed, and Smithing. Seems basic, but I'm enjoying it, first time playing an Orc and it looks badass when he bashes someones head in with that finishing move for great axes.

I usually play some type of ranger so my main Skyrim character is a Nord Stealth Ranger, which is the kind of character I've played since Morrowind.

Just for a change I also made an Orc Fire and Ice Mage recently.
