Im trying to RP an Argonian but im having trouble thinking of a good reason for them to come to skyrim, as i am not very good at these types of things i was wondering if any other people have some good ideas. Also if you know of a good name that would be helpful. he is going to be very stealthy.

Motivation to be in Skyrim? Perhaps your Argonian has been sent to track down and assassinate a rather important Dunmer that they believe to be in Skyrim presently?

I don't think you need a "good" or complex backstory. Just say your Argonian was just traveling, and ended up arrested for being at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

a short hand version of my first argonian's back-story:

black-birds-cry's village was attacked by imperials (helped by men in robes) on his naming day. he was the only surviver and the entire town was razed, but, before he escaped, he grabbed his dad's bow and arrows and his mom's pendant (both of which have a black bird motif). he escaped to cryodil where he met a badnit crew who took him in (only after he managed to kill some of them and because the argonian leader took pity on him) and gave him a name based on his gear, black-birds-cry. years later, after the great war, he left to fight the empire, but, being one man, he had to go to skyrim to get the assistance of the stormcloaks. the rest, well, you know the rest

and, the emprie will lead to desturction, mede is a horrible tactition on a large scale. besides, my argonian is a trickster, his mind is not so easily tricked

My Argonian characters have always been mistreated in some way. One (in Oblivion) had been prioress in a convent that had been destroyed. My character in Skyrim was a fisherman who was abducted by the Sons of Talos, a Nord racial supremacist group. He escaped, only to find himself in the same house where Ulfric was conferring with his advisors. So of course my poor Argonian got swept up in Ulfric's capture.
