Whats the accuracy of...

I got to thinking after a little planning for a little project....and something struck me...just how accurate is that statement made by the devs that Skyrim is the size of Oblivion? because Highhrothgar despite it only being playable by the trails...is fing Huge, it Dwarfs IC at least twice the times over..I mean....has anyone made comparisons?

It's hard to say. If you tried walking form one side to the other, Skyrim would seem way larger, considering all the mountains, while Cyrodiil would seems tiny in comparison.
We would have to look at the Cells through the CK.

As a Morrowind player, I can say that I think that Skyrim is way too small. Sure its bigger than Morrowind, but the landscape should have been bigger. The compass is constantly filled with locations, and you cant walk 1 minute without discovering new places/locations.

Discussable. I played Morrowind too, and while that game was awesome and big, it was mostly empty. What they did with Skyrim was to fill it up with interesting places.
A big map that overall isn't that interesting with many locations far between, and a smaller map with more locations aren't really comparable, are they?

Had Morrowind had a compass with map markers, you would've found places all over I bet.

You have no ability to judge sizes. High Hrothgar is not larger then the IC at all. Maybe 1.5 - 2 times the size of a ward in the IC.

Couldn't be, again I'm not talking about the total size of path/walkable space, I'm talking about the entire distance from edge to edge of that mountain. no way in hell its only in comparison to a district. sorry I disagree, and could do without the "you have no ability" comment.

the IC is Big, Yes but the Mountain not just in being a mountain second largest in Tamriel and all that jazz, but in the scope of the game, honestly you feel that way? I mean jeesh the initial question is has anyone made comparisons despite my inital proclamation of its size...

Depending if you're comparing height or width. I'd say IC is wider, but Throat being way taller.

getting into height is irrelevant I'd say and unfair in many respects, just the Width.

Then IC is wider than Throat. It spans over several cells and is generally huge.
