Whats the console for disabling followers?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:43 am

I have a problem here. Everytime I get someone to follow me they tell me that I already have a follower.. The thing is I have none. Nobody is following me. Does anyone here know the console for disabling my active follow status so I can start having followers again?

I don't know of any such command, but do check your journal. Are you on any quest that provides a substitute follower? If so, you must complete that quest before taking on any other followers.

Basically, maybe you left a follower somewhere, maybe told them to wait there. Find them and tell them to go home. If it's Aela or Farkas or any of the Companion leaders. Good news. Activate only the "talk to the Companion leaders for work" miscellaneous quest and follow the lone marker that does not point to Jorrvaskr.

I remember finishing up a quest where I think what started this problem. It had nothing to do with any of the companions. It was when I approched the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Hillgrund%27s_Tomb where I encountered http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Golldir. He started ranting about how some necromancer is defiling his ancesters and asked for my help. After the quest was over I remember asking him to follow me, but he never did. He kept hanging around the tomb.

I need to head back over there to see if I can disable the follow.

You can also see if you actually DO have a follower by typing show playerfollowercount
