Whats the longest you had to go without playing Skyrim?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:46 pm

Basically right now I am in the middle of the north sea on an oil installation. My PC is at home.
See the problem?
I have been here for just over a week and I am not due back home until next Wednesday.
Its quite pathetic because I am missing playing Skyrim more than I miss my other half (not really but it sounds good).
Anyone out there forced to abandon it longer than me? Make me feel better.

I played Skyrim non stop until two weeks ago, when I reached 110h. Now Im playing Shogun 2 and BF3 more.

But I still sometimes run skyrim just to walk around and explore. I can easilly say that Im having more fun now than before, because I dont have higher expectations. I was very disappointed with NPCs and by the fact that the world do not change doesnt mater what you do. Now, I play just to enjoy my charactere and to see new places, it is really better.

I work 12hr night shifts at a rail yard. When it's dead and I have nothing to do, I'm normally waste company resources (ie bandwidth) here in the forums. After the 3rd hour of forum lurking, I start to get Skyrim withdrawal symptoms.

Perhaps I need either a therapist or another new game.

Released on the 11th, Birthday on the 26th. Just moved house, so no internet at the time either. Much jealousy, resorted to Sacred 2.

I can go about two days without Skyrim before suffering from withdrawals.

I've gone over 50 years without playing it, and still counting. Thanks to the Steam requirement, and my gaming PC not having an internet connection available, it might be another year or two before Bethesda releases a version without Steam, or they rewire the building so I can connect.

Maybe I win :

Purchased Skyrim in May 2011
Received on the 11.11.2011
Moved house from USA on the 21st November 2011 to Germany
Container is still swimming on the water (hopefully it doesn't sink!)
ETA for moving into new house March 2012
Computer is in storage until then

But maybe most of the bugs have been squashed and mods have been created with creation kit by then.

Until then, forum junkie....

Or a new job.... :P

I think the longest I've gone is four or five days because of work, and just not wanting to play when I get home and only have a few hours at night to chill.

I was admitted to the hospital on 11/11/11 for an entire week. And I had just bought the collectors edition; it was torture waiting.

Had to go without for a week when I was at a conference. I missed playing last night 'cause I was making holiday presents for my husband's coworkers, too :P
