Whats your favorite Vault?

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2011 9:17 am

My favourites:

Design/Backstory: Vault 11

Quest: Vault 34

End Result: Vault 21 (It didn't result in everyone dying, and would have continued normally if Mr. House didn't open the vault to secure The Strip.)

Vault 34 was awesome because of the ghouls around the corners were fun to shoot and plus the rewarding loot, ghouls don't give me the creeps anymore but in FO3 i was a wimp almost all the vaults gave me the creeps i hated the metros cuz of the ghouls but one day i decided to go in guns blazing and i had a blast.
as for the other vaults in NV, they were quite boring i hated reading the terminals just to find out what happened, if only they added holotapes. and yes i do know how to read i just hated how the words were somewhat hard to read, idk it could just be me
i did kinda like that vault with the sacrificial chamber it gave me a oh [censored] moment :flamethrower:

Vault 11 hands down. Just another example of the improved writing and story over Fallout 3. That one Vault story was better then all of Fallout 3's stories combined.

Vault34....it didn't scare me, but it was atmospheric. The weapons are nice too, but that's not the only reason I like it. Most of the rest of the vaults I consider to be rather boring, altho Vault 11 was ok. I'm not much of a cave-crawler tho. At least not in this game...dungeon-crawl games can be fun sometimes (Diablo1) but typically not my big thing.

Note to the people who cant let go - this is a poll about FNV. You have played it. Yes you played FO1 & 2 but get over it this is FO NV choose one of the vaults in it.

If I can only choose one, it'd have to be Vault 11, for its incredible background story. Though the creepy atmosphere of Vault 34 comes pretty close, too.

The one with politics and [censored].
Was a nice vault, not a ghoul dungeon like 34 and not a plant zombie dungeon like 22.

Hate the vaults mostly. Always spent too much time back tracking and having to resort to walkthroughs to find my way out.

I liked vault 11 though, the story and the end, where i nearly died, was great fun

Vault 11, just because I [censored] bricks when I went through it on my first playthrough. Well done Bethesda.

For vault 34, i still find FO3's Dunwich Building to be the most creepiest place, IMO.

I dont like vaults, why be inside when you can be in the hot sun all day? ;)
Vaults and metros gave me the creeps in FO3. Never visit them if I dont have to,

11 was my favourite for story. I was inching through it trying to work out what happened after that initial recording...when I got to the end I was sat in the chair, listening raptly and then suddenly it clicked in my head what was probably going to happen. I got out of the chair just in time...even then I almost bit it.

34 was pretty cool in parts but 22 was way cooler, it took me a while to see the plant things, I walked straight past the first two. After that all grass was treated with extreme caution.
My energy weapons char had fun in there, flamethrowerrrrrrrrrrr :flamethrower:

Yeah...they were the best. 11, 22 then 34. 11 definitely takes it for atmosphere (kinda wish there had been no enemies at all though, just eerily empty...)

Vault 11 for story.
Vault 34 for atmosphere.
Vault 22 for the magic elevator.
Vault 3 for sheer balls-to-the-wall action. One of my most enjoyable sessions of F:NV was cleaning out Vault 3 with Thump-Thump and the Red Ryder BB gun.

vault 34 for the factor of "Whats that? you killed EVERYTHING? Guess what, have some more feral ghouls, because here at vault-tec, we love you!"

Would be 19, if it actually had red vault suits >.<

I liked Vault 11 most. Such a horrible story, and since everything happened long before you entered there's nothing you can do to help. So after finding out about everything, you just kind of leave with a face like this: :cryvaultboy:

Anyway, very well written. I would like to see a fully operational Vault in the future, like 13 in FO1 and 101 in FO3, if there are any left.

Vault 11, which has IMO the most interesting vault experiment with 101 as a close second. They seem the most realistic and disturbing to me (voting others to death, and knowing that you will never see the outside world)

I don't really like any of them. I keep hoping that at some point they will add a vault with a functioning society inside still living. One where you can get a room and trade with people who aren't crazy or filler NPCs. I know about the vaults being designed to fail to test peoples reactions but really basically none of the vaults overcame their hardships and prospered which is sad.

I'd like to see a vault in pristine condition, no rust everywhere, with NPCs and maybe a few quests to help them out.

Like Tango said, 21 worked out. It was fully functional with no problems until it was opened and House kicked everyone out, filled up the lower levels with concrete and let Sarah open it back up as a hotel.

3 was fine (until the Fiends invaded and killed everyone) but it was a control so there was no funny stuff connected with it.
