When are you actually an experienced Skyrim player?

Post » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:52 am

I've spent tons of hours into Skyrim, level 43 Character. Does this make me experienced player of Skyrim.
Probably 70+ hours.
I can pickpocket lot's of [censored] easily.
My thief chest is filled with thousands of dollars worth of stolen gear! Yes, I have a chest were I put the [censored] I steal.
I made my house using the "Creation Kit." Not that good of a house, but.. Meh.
Does that actually make me experienced?

I don't know about being an experinced player in skyrim, it's more about exploration. The combat itself may require a little skilled experince, but not much. I guess knowing majority of the games quest, lore, dungeons is what experinced maybe in skyrim.

I don't play skyrim for combat, I play it for immersive enviorment and exploriation. I do really enjoy the archery combat thou.

I find it funny that you speak there like your avatar.

Well does it matter? It's not like there's an achievement to create a skilled character and create a mod or something.

When your KD is above 10. Wait. Wrong game.

You are good at skyrim when you can have fun on your own terms, and not worry about what other people think about how you play. :)

I'd say you are experienced when you have perked out all the trees (not just gotten to 100 in all skills) - been thru every dungeon and found every location/item - and completed evey quest. That way you can say you've 'experienced' everything the game has to offer.

1000 hours of game play. Anyone not having this many hours under their belts are newbies (and have a life).

I only have 994 hours according to Steam, so I know nothing.

When you have learned to use all skills and perks present in the game to their full potential, when you can dodge arrows and even catch them mid-flight. When you can block, dodge and parry attacks without a second thought and always have at least 2-3 contingencies in case a battle is not going your way. When you have been in almost every area and done almost every Quest.

When you have played long enough that you can recite half the conversations found in the game and pick locks with your eyes closed. When you are practically a walking Wiki of the game itself, lore included. Then and only then shall ye be an experienced rimmer of skies.

Experienced? Pffft. Come back when you have over 100 wheels of Eidar cheese rolling around in your player home.

I've spent thousands of hours (yes, sad I know) and every once in a while I come across an area I haven't played through still.

When you have to empty all your chests and give the stuff away to merchants to avoid file bloat making every loading screen three minutes long.

[Go straight to experienced without the above at 50 hours + spent solely collecting insect parts.]

Maybe when you have every achievement.

I have about 750 hours in the game now but I'm still missing 5 achievements. This is mainly due to my dis-interest in pick-pocking, going to jail and have 1,000 gold bounties. Also my dislike of Daedric quests and my constant retiring of characters when they get to about 45 level.

But just this weekend, after 700 some hours, I found a new location with a huge dungeon. In fact it was one of the coolest one's I've been it. So there are still places to see and things to do I guess.

Indeed. 150 a little, 300 mostly, 1000 most definitely. Or if you didn't jump on the bandwagon and have played all TES games 5 hours.

Experienced you are padawan

Last I remembered I had at least 200 in each except for oblivion 2100 and skyrim 1020, though skyrim has gotten unexpectedly boring :( but I still play oblivion
