I predicted months before the game released that dragons were the new oblivion gates.

Not as bad, but I get the similar feelings of "AGAIN?!"

Imho, the problem is the combat doesn't really have much depth. Granted, it is better than previous TES games, but great combat is never what they were known for. So when combat gets repeated over and over, it certainly loses its lustre. It's particularly bad for mages, I think. On top of that, dragons, while one of the most complicated enemies in the game, aren't very complicated to fight. You use ranged when they are in the air (though later this is far less of an issue), melee or ranged on the ground in a rather repetative manner. Ward, shield, or power through the breath weapon. Occasionally you might totally leave the combat system to chug some healing potions, then go back to the action (this is such an immersion-killer for me). Eh, and that probably makes it sound more complicated than it is. No decisions, no surprises, nothing unexpected. Just same old, same old. Heck, Deadly Dragons does what it can and it doesn't help things much for me.

after 4-5 dragons you understand the best ways to defeat them and they become easy. They are VERY predictable.

I would like if they ride like red dead..
As for random dragons they get boring unless something different happens like when i was walking in an open area and 2 dragons attacked me..i was close to a word wall location so i assume 1 scripted and 1 random

Everyone complains about the constant random dragon attacks, but it's a rare occurance in my games. I still look forward to them.

For instance, on my current level 18 nord warrior, he's only experienced 1 random dragon attack... I'm think it's because I don't fast travel at all, but that's just a guess.
