When will the patch be ready?

Post » Thu Feb 17, 2011 2:05 am

So its been awhile since we've heard from a moderator (Nov 5th) on the 360 patch so i was wondering if anything knows if its still going through the Microsoft test phase or some kind of ETA would be nice.

Not soon enough. Regular updates would be nice so we will know if a patch is a couple days away or several weeks away. It would save a lot of questions/wondering/repeated threads.

Im have experienced my fair share of fallout new vegas also, and I think they need to announce a patch soon.
I dont know if anyone else in this thread has had the same problems but so far I've experienced the following:

- Freezing Issues
- Doors locking me in.
- Attempting to go through the north door into the strip but ending up with a black screen after loading the strip

If anyone hears about a patch post back and I will do the same If I hear anything.
But for now I think I'm just going to focus on other games like black ops etc

Thanks

This lemon has been squeezed. Why even bother picking this thing up to play at all? Waste of cash..GAME BREAKING BUG + BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT = HORRIBLE, NEVER AGAIN WASTE MY MONEY ON YOUR TRASH YOU CALL A VIDEO GAME. MY CONSOLE HAS A GAME SAVE ON IT THAT IS NOW USELESS AND ITS GOING TO STAY THAT WAY. I WAS LOOKING FOWARD TO THE PATCH, 11 DAYS AGO. ITS WAY TO LONG NOW TO EVEN BOTHER PICKING THIS THING UP AGAIN. WAY TO MANY GAMES OUT, AND I WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS GAME WHEN IN DISCUSSION WITH OTHER GAMERS OF WHAT TO BUY THIS YEAR. YOU svck BETHESDA! WHATEVER OTHER DEV TEAM TOOK OVER YOU svck. GO CHOKE!

I'd guess December 21, since that's when the DLC they've been working on is scheduled to come out. Shame that they haven't re-tasked their DLC team to actually fix the game we bought, but it illustrates their priorities pretty well.

How can anyone stand by Obsidian after all this?

It's been almost a month after launch and no real fixes out there!

and they are saying now that corrupted saves are gone forever..

so what is the point of playing again?

I was on my 3rd playthrough when my saves were lost again... for the 3rd time!

people here called me crazy to start again after 2 playthroughs were ruined due to gamesave corruption...but i honestly believed that the 3rd time would be the charm..

and i stood up for Obsidian when people were ragging on them...man i feel dumb now!

December 21st huh. I'll be 28 by the time I'm able to actually play this game. My first play through got the DLC bug and that was it and on my second play through I just oped out of questing and explored the map. Now that I'm playing Assassins Creed Brother hood which is great by the way I'll just wait for the patch. As for the DLC I'm going to take a pass until months after its release for obvious reasons. As for the next Beth or Obsidian game If its any good I will be waiting months and then purchasing them used. The fact that the game was released this way and so little details are actually given from the developers is just a public relations nightmare. I guess that is what is supposed to be expected from a company that's rated F by the Better Business Bureau.

I honestly have started to wonder if any of the people who reviewed the game prior to release ran into the DLC error. If they did and it wasn't reported than this industry needs some major changes.

Bethesdas # 1 priority should be patching the existing game not announcing new DLC. I cannot justify spending any more money on a game that is so plagued with problems it should not have been released.

The only announcement we should be getting is the current state of the patch and when we can expect it.

Remember The Pit DLC for Fallout 3 when it first went up on Xbox Live? It had to be removed within hours because it was unplayable due to being corrupt!

So many complaints about New Vegas being bugged to hell and they just go and give a release date for some DLC instead!

you're really listening? it doesn't feel like it.. :sadvaultboy:
