Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:49 pm

There are ruins for just about every one time lost kingdom, dwemer, aylides, well falmar once had a kingdom and structures I guess, wouldn’t they? Did they build all there structures with wood or were they just bad architects? Or am I missing something here?

There are cities so ancient, the sand - I mean snow - has swallowed them whole.

Who's to say there aren't or won't be?

No DLC/expansions yet.

Shoot the dynamic snow buried them.

When a developer demonises a race into evil goblins #1123456754 for gameplay reasons and then throws them into another ancient race's ruins,
this developer does not usually remember to add records on their before-goblin state, that includes their ruins. For they see them as just goblins.

So where are falmer ruins you ask? in Todd Howard's restroom.

in the lore i think the snow elves never left a trace of their civilizations, i read/heard that in bloodmoon i think, plus yesgamor (the 500 companion guy) probably razed every elvish thing in skyrim...besides teh dwemer stuff

I'm saying they've been lost to time, as all previous games have said. Those that didn't, the Dwarves rennovated.

Spoiler
The falmer are the snow elves, they never really had big cities seeing as how they moved into morrowind and shortly after that they were enslaved by the dwemer and fed these plants that made them blind.

I like to think that they built the Skyforge. I mean, if it wasn't them, then who?

Rieklings are probably relatives of goblins and as far as I know they live only on Solstheim. But it would be nice to have rieklings, grahls and tusked bristlebacks in Skyrim.

I like more to think that it was built by gods in The Dawn Era when they still walked on the Nirn.

Good question. Bethesda trashed their own lore (the observatory in Hammerfell was supposed to be the only significant Dwemer ruin outside Morrowind) and introduced dwemer ruins which, aside from some pipes and steam look totally so "un-dwemer".

I really like the elven architecture in Oblivion. Instead they got replaced by something out of context.

I really like the Dwemer ruins in Skyrim. They still were big surprise for me to be there. I never thought that Dwemer may live outside of their main areas Volenfell and Dwemereth.
