So yeah, where the f are they? Do they even exist is Skyrim? Years ago when i was playing Morrowind i remember those daedric ruins where you could go and hunt them and take their precious loot. So far in Skryrim, i only faced daedras once and they were summoned by a mage. Is there a specific dungeon or a place where i could find them?

Azura's quest, Dagon's shrine and Shalidor's maze are the only places I recall.

no, just portals freely opening to invade. if you paid attention to Haskill they can open portals anywhere they want as an invitiation. and Daedra can still be perma bound to Mundus if they are summoned by someone. ;p

The only time I've ever seen them is during a few specific quests except for Fire Atronach's which sometimes appear randomly in the wilderness.
So ingredients like daedra hearts from dremora, and void and frost salts from the atronaches are very, very rare.

Sanguine's rose summons dremora, seen quite a few conjurers chucking atronachs around. But I agree there are much less than Oblivion and morrowind and I haven't found any randomly.

There must be permanent daedra around the place and not just the temporary summoned sort because the Vigilantes of Stendarr claim to hunt down daedra. Perhaps they are doing a really good job of it.
