Where can I get certain enchantments?

The two I'm looking for is "Banish" for weapons, and "Fortify Carry Weight" for boots.

Can I find them anywhere other than random loot?

I have never found Banish on random loot, but it will appear on weapons that are available from vendors. Fortify carry wieght boots have always existed in Blackreach beside Synderions' bed.

Check with all the vendors. Balimund the Blacksmith in Riften always seems to have Boots with the Fortify Carry Weight on them. And I think I found Banish on a Daedric bow that Niranye was selling, bought it for close to 6000 septims, then checked with belethor and he had an banish enechanted iron dagger for 700. Go to "Autumnwatch Tower", and the tower WITHOUT the word wall usually has Hide Boots of Lifting at the top.

Whiterun, Riften and Windhelm are the best bets as they each have two smiths outdoors so they don't require multiple loadings.

If you dont want to buy the armor/weapons that already have the enchantment on them, try some of the "Dark Brotherhood" quests. I have found a few items that have the enchantment on them.
Make sure you increase you increase your Alchemy/Enchanting/Smithing skills so that you pratically have overpowered armor and weapons (Smith weapons,Enchant them,Improve them). Get that mixed up and you can have about 10-??? damage, armor, rating etc...drop and be lost from that peice of armor and or weapon!

Why would I make sure to do that when I go out of my way to avoid doing it? People complain about imbalances in the game then go on to exploit them. Is the game too easy after spending an hour and a half getting your daedric warhammer to 2000 damage? Quite simple: don't spend two hours powerleveling and exploiting imbalance.

I've never made a character that uses smithing and enchanting both. Only things I smith are rings and amulets to enchant and sell.

In a couple hundred hours of playing I've only found one "banish" item via loot. My 3 other characters had to buy it.

As for Fortify Carry Weight, I've seen plenty of these in the wild, but also with good frequency at vendors. I generally make a habit of checking any vendor that sells weapons and armor when I first arrive in town.

I've had Banish as an enchantment foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Apparently I found an item with it and disenchanted it really early on.

It's awesome for picking up worthless iron daggers from dead mages, enchanting with Banish, and then selling for 100x original value.

Alsoooooo.. anyone know where to find something with Waterbreathing? I'm level 63 with 220 hours and I'm pretty sure that's the ONLY enchantment I have never seen or that I overlooked.
