The name says it all.

Repairs are never really...'cheap'. It can be cheaper if you go at a person with a lower end repair skill. Old Lady Gibson is one of them, can't think of more off the top of my head.

Yeah.. cheap repairs are shoddy repairs. There are a few people who can repair your equipment to 100%, like Major Knight at Mojave Outpost, but it's going to cost more. I think the rate is the same for all repair NPCs, though. It's just a question of how much repair you want done.

The cheapest option for weapons is to make your own Weapon Repair Kits.
I collect/steal all the stuff needed during my travels and dump it on a companion to carry until I get to a work bench, then I spend some time just making stuff!
I think I've got about eighteen weapon repair kits or something on my one character, and my two main weapons are always at 100%

yup the price per repair point is the same through out all the people that repair, however im not sure if your liked if they charge less to repair like the do if they sell or buy. I never pay for repairs though personally as the jury rigger perk is PRICELESS and thats all i use and need since i use guns mainly. Energy weapons r a different story due to their scarcity

Yep! :tops:

I have poor ED-E loaded down with so much scrap, duct tape, wrenches and wonder glue he's prolly worried I'm building his replacement.

Grab Jury Rigging perk, it will allow you to fix items with everything in their entire category. Then it's just a question of knowing where to find such items if they are more rare than typical Varmint.

The only thing I've repaired in this game EVER at a vendor is the shovel. ;-)

Like others stated (if your repair is 90+) Jury rigging is the best... just be careful. I Got way too excited and used Mercy to fix something dumb.

Jury Rigging all the way. Not having to worry about collecting 10lbs of junk is purely awesome.

Other than repairing stuff from within my inventory, I always used the guy at the outpost. That came early on in the game for me and with a caravan player vendor there in camp, caps just wasn't ever even an issue in this game. I'd go take her caps and then get all my stuff repaired.

Heh, it's amazing and a little sad how excited I get when I come across a stash of duct tape or a few wrenches sitting on a shelf someplace.

it's even more amazing, that i'd rather ditch a plasma rifle than the equivalent weight of scrap metal, electronics, wrenches, etc :D
but honestly, that rarely happens, thanks to that cuddly flying footlocker i have always with me :)
