Krosis disappeared yesterday. I had it stored in a barrel in my home, or should I say Sylgja's home (we moved in after married). It's not the house; Volsung, when in Breezehome, vanished as well. The day before, three bottles of Sleeping Tree Sap disappeared. They were placed in the open. Other items that I left out, like in-town clothing, appear randomly around the room. I don't want anything I put to disappear, so now I am weighed down by four hundred units of items that I don't want to lose. I had to use the console to restore Krosis, twice.

This spoiler relates to Dragon Priest masks.

Any mods that remove disappearing items? Or, better yet, items that are indoors?

How many items have you stolen from NPC houses? Maybe this is karma.

I am terrified of this happening to my Dragon Priest masks and daedric items ...

Any suggestions of definitely safe houses would be welcome.

Apparently Markarth has a problem, where things in chests, on bookshelves, mannequins and weapon racks, vanish. Can someone confirm this?

Stop storing them in NPC houses and on the floor. Storage chests in houses you bought are safe.

Surely you jest, my good stamper of time. I am a Vigilant of Stendarr and a slayer of all those who would seek to feed off of the success of others. The only things I have ever stolen - from a necromancer in the forest - were two Potions of Minor Healing. Nothing worth such a scale of thievery, especially considering I killed that whom I theft from.

It's not you're house... and don't put stuff in the open at Breezehome => glitch.

I have both the houses BreezeHome and ProudSpire and I have never lost an item or gold I have stored in any container.

The bedroom chest in Breezehome is your best friend.
