If your lower level there is the clavicus vile quest (not sure if its 1h or 2h though)

It is 2-handed but I heard it swung slow like a warhammer. ..

well i never tried it since it looked like crap to me (lvl 28 when I did that quest)

Look for Battle Axes as those are the two handed ones and War Axes are only one handed.

And Poohunter (interesting name!) is right. It really depends on your level. Ebony Battle Axes are pretty awesome but you have to be about level 40 to start finding them.

Wuuthrad is a great Battle Axe that you can obtain at any level. It says it does extra damage to Elves. Try finishing up the Companions questline to get it.
