Where's the interaction in Season Unending?

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that some of the factions who should be going at it don't do anything during Season Unending?

You have the Blades and Greybeards argue in the foyer which is nice, and of course Ulfric arguing with just about everybody, but why isn't Elenwen, the Aldmeri Dominion's ambassador to Skyrim, a woman who's been looking for both members of the Blades sitting across from her, say anything about it? It's not like she can't tell who they are. Delphine's decked out in her armor and both she and Esbern are armed with their Blades Swords. It's more than obvious, so why doesn't she react?

Also, why doesn't Ulfric try to speak to his old masters? He used to live in High Hrothgar, training to become a Greybeard, but left when the Great War erupted. He hasn't seen his teachers in over 30 years, you'd think he'd try to say something to them. I'm also surprised that Arngeir isn't a little harsher with Ulfric than others, considering Ulfric's abandonment of the Way.

I really like Season Unending, and I wish there were more dialogue driven questlines where you could make decisions like this, but it seems like this one really could have gone much deeper into the characters than they were willing to go.

Personally I'm surprised Delphine and Esbern live through that. If I was elenwen I would've had a group of thalmor assassins ready given the circumstance of the meeting. "Oops, Esbern and Delphine took a little tumble down the sides of Hrothgar. Those mountain paths sure are dangerous."

Elenwen's assassins are hilariously ineffective.

-She knows that some most people in the room are an inch away from throwing her down the mountain.
-Thalmor hubris -- screw the dossiers; how tough could two aging Blades be? She's seen the threat herself, and she isn't impressed.
-Political neutrality. Tullius and Ulfric are some ten feet away from each other, and no one tries to start a fight or arrest anyone.

Arngeir was reluctant to hold the council in the first place -- I don't think he'd like anything extending the time that these men of violence spend in hallowed Hrothgar, even if it meant scolding a former pupil. As for Ulfric, do you really think he'd do anything that would make him look bad in front of his former torturer and opposing general?

I'm not looking for someone to jump across the table with a dagger drawn, just some passive aggressive or snide remarks.

I'm gonna go with, "because I threw her out of the room." :P
