Where's the Patch? : Fallout: New Vegas

It was lucky enough to secure a place in a Vault-Tec Vault. The courier is tasked with finding out which Vault it resides in.

I have a hunch that it's just a cover story, and the patch is actually hiding in the Big Empty.

If you look at the sticky thread for "From the teams at Obsidian and Bethesda," in the General Discussion forum for FNV, the release of the 1.02 patch to PS3, Steam and Microsoft happened on Dec. 6. Then it is prepared by them for downloading to us. There was a spread on the downloading dates depending on how fast it was prepared by them.

PS3 - 3 days
Steam - 7 days
Microsoft - 10 days

That doesn't mean it'll be the same for the new patch, but this was an example of what happened before. Since the devs want the patch to get to us before any new DLC, I'm thinking it could be ready at least 10 days before the DLC.

The patch is most likely to be released either next week or the week after with the trailer taking place of whichever is not released. Most likely will be Patch 5th, Trailer 12th, and then game 19th. Or maybe they will actually decide to advertise the next dlc a bit longer than usual and it will be trailer 5th, patch 12th, and game 19th. Assuming (ass of u and me) that none of them are released on the same day the setup is likely to be one of those.

The patch should really be released ASAP...to ensure it works properly and doesn't create new bugs...and to make sure it doesn't affect OWB in a negative way...and should that happen at least they'll have time to look for a solution

That's what I'm thinking, and I was under the impression that was the whole reason for the delay, to get this patch out and make sure it doesn't cause any problems. If OWB and this huge patch release too closely together, the devs are going to have a hell of a time figuring out what's causing any bugs. Anyone know if they announce when they've released the patch to Sony and Microsoft? Just curious, as that would give you a ballpark estimate of when it will drop. Although, I guess it would hit PCs without delay, so maybe that would be redundant.

I hope they fix load crashing. You would think that they would have figured out how to fix that by now. Either that or the engine is trying to tell us it can't handle New Vegas.

It should be better with all the... ugh how did Jason put it... Memory Revamps? I honestly don't recall what he called it, but he said it should help with the lag and loading. Well, I think he said it should help with the loading anyway. I should really start sleeping more... memory's on the fritz. :rofl:

Dude, pretty much every male in America(I'm talking about 51%) knows about the game. When my friends and I lose in the middle of class we just yell it out. Everyone looks and is just like wtf? While everyone else who knows about it is just like [censored'] you....BTW I lost.
