Where's The Reef?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:21 am

I got all the way through the dangerous voyage to where I am supposed to use the ship's guns on the sorcerers on the reef. Unfortunately, there is no reef. No reef = no sorcerers to kill= a virtual eternity in riding out tidal waves. Got so frustrated I took the game off of my computer and have yet to reinstall it. I am worried that I'll get all the way to the same part and be stuck again. Now I am not at all computer savey and the only games I have played since TRON in the '80s is Alice. So a bit of help will be much appreciated. I eat breath and sleep HPL and would love to get to DCotE again. I am running it on an HP Pavillion with the much reviled Vista.

Daknos,Can I just check - you are using the zoom function on the ships cannon in order to see the blue winking lights which represent the sorcerers? You press the right mouse button to zoom.Chris.

yep, I used the zoom and there is just the cloud. I compared my screen to those online in youtube and on youtube the reef is visible even without the zoom. I've got friggin zip, nada. It's like reading a great book and finding the last chapter missing!the Rook

I may have discovered another reason the game goes to hell on me. (a.) Vista or (b.) when the sec9ond disc loads I see the word xbox in the files downloading. Did I get a wrong disc? (Again I am not compu-savey) or are some of the same settings used from the xbox format?the Rook

if I too could get a save right after the blue lights on the reef (but before Dagon if at all possible) I have tried the no-scoping method but it's too much of a hassleHere's the specs, if the save data could be mailed to me with an explination of how to apply it to the game I'd very much appreciate itDifficulty: Boy ScoutInventory: All possible items up to this point (including journal stuff)My E-Mail: golemssoul@cableone.netThanks to you who answers my pleaI'a Cthulhu! :cthulhu:
