I just keep thinking...If only I could open a time-window, and somehow show my Atari-2600 loving 6-year-old self even 10 minutes of this game, running (as it does) at its full frame-rate on my 46" 1080p LCD with full Dolby surround...that little chump would $#!+ himself.
Man, you just reminded me of how I felt that first week of playing this. Then the PS3 patches, and the firmware updates, and the freezes and the crashes, and losing my PSN games due to a Skyrim crash which corrupted the file system... wish I could get back to that place you are in - that I was once in. /sigh

To the OP... I think that the game is just designed more around the free roaming and the atmosphere, rather than the quests and the story. Maybe try a different character type and try to approach the quests from a different angle? Otherwise, you may just be done.

Someone posted awhile back that a sizeable portion of Tamriel's landmass exists in the game, beyond the perimeter where we can go. Maybe there are plans for DLC which will unlock those areas.

I know what you mean about the game seeming short. My first play through was extreamly quick I'd finished the compainions guild, war quest the main quest and thieves guild all in a few days on a friends PC.

When I got my copy I also picked up the game guide. What I found out is I'd missed most of the radient quests that lead onto more of the guild plot. Like the Thieves guild I'd missed the quests that built the guild back up to it's former glory. So I'd not got every fence in the game with 4k cash or had the shops in the sewers. I'd also missed the totem quests for the compainions and the dragon maske collection.

Some of the guild quests are really hard to find, if it hadn't been for the game guild I'd have never found out how to finish the thieves guild stuff or found out about the shrines of the nine....

If your not finding enough to do I'd very much recomend the game guide, it points you to lots of awesomeness. Even if you've done the things I missed the first time through it has much much more than that in it.

I'm 123ish hours in with my second character. I've done all but the compainions and I'm still find hours of stuff to do thanks to the guide.

Sorry for the ramble, I hope it helps.
