Where do you want the next elder scrolls game to be set in?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:26 am

I personally want summerset isle. It has so much mystery and potential for a great story. One plot point is that your character dies somehow and your spirit travels to atherious and you get to talk to the 9 divine. They decide that you havent fullfilled your destiny and you wakeup in a coffin in an underground crypt which you have to fight out of.

The Merethic Era

There's so much content that's sitting there untapped, why not go back in time to see it? I'd love to see the Aeylids, Ancient Nords, Dwemer... etc.

Wrong forum, but I want Elsweyr for the next generation and Valenwood for the generation after that.

There's quite a few historical games that the player may (or sometimes may not) previously know the final outcome in the end. The "Total War" series of games is a good example.

The point is that if we do go back in time to see all the lore that created what we know now, we'll have an experience in which we can piece together of what's to come.

Make that two votes for Elswyr. It is a cool name and we just had the frozen north, its time for the desert.

My vore is for Elsweyr, I think it would be a great setting and has the potential to be as rich as Morrowind in setting.

That's... truly brilliant. A pre-quel of sorts with modern hardware. I say this.

I don't trust Bethesda with my preconceptions of the Dwemer/Ayleids/Falmer

Summerset Isle/Valenwood. We need a struggle for/against the Thalmor. We've had two Human lands ES games, time for another Elf one.

Hammerfell would be the best setting, Beth could do wonders with the Alikir Desert.

That's why you shouldn't draw them. Well, to a certain extent.

Besides, haven't they already introduced us to all three of them in one form or another? They've already piqued our curiosity... why not follow through? Otherwise the equivalent would be like being in a peepshow booth back in the 1910's.

From what I've seen of the Falmer, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a tall version of Gimli as a Dwemer warden in the starting dungeon.

It would be a good oppurtunity to add new races and a new art design, but I don't trust them :P.

I also wouldn't mind going to that place elsewhere, called Elsweyr.

Summerset Isle would also be a good spot.

Hammerfell and High Rock were already used in Daggerfall...

I believe the reason Beth renamed Summerset Isles "Alinor" is because "Elder Scrolls VI: Alinor" sounds better than "Elder Scrolls VI: Summerset Isles" .
