I feel if Disposition had been kept, refined and expanded, it could have been linked to the following mechanics:
Speechcraft (Disposition focused Perks, leveling Speech could help you raise Disposition)
Marriage (So many options here...)
Guilds (So MANY options here...)
Merchants (^ but many + MANY)
Crime (Get away with murder because you're basically like a brother to that one guard right there...)
Dungeon Raids... here's the most interesting one...
Walk up to a Bandit Camp...
"You picked a bad time to get lost friend..."
Woahwoah... chance for dialogue!
Dialogue ensues...
Speechcraft comes into play...
"Sorry about that friend... usually it's the Guards that come looking for trouble so we have to protect ourselves. We have room in the camp if you'd like to join us..."
Yeah, I just talked my way into a Bandit Camp and now it's my new "guild," with Followers that I can call upon... or talk them into raiding a dungeon for me.
