Which Creature Gives You Trouble?

Which creature gives you trouble the most, besides dragons and dragon priests?

I gotta go with Chaurus Reapers.

So far Draemora Mages and maybe Arch Cryonmancers(mean frost mages that kite you to hell). Chaurus Reapers are a PITA though, hell i was in one dwemer ruin and used ice form on literally 6 falmer just so i could take out the reaper first, that stupid spit it does is nuts on master.

I came upon 3 necromancers in a cave and they thoroughly made my day miserable. Also Giants, I've yet to kill one.

Just mages. I can't charge at them like I can most enemies, and the only mages that really give me trouble are the ones that can easily outperform my fireballs.

To compensate, I used the Ethereal shout to close the distance between us...they still try to kite, but I'm usually able to get within dual-wielding annihilation distance before the shout wears off.

This. As an Argonian, I've had to level up Alteration for the Magical Resistance Perks and I always have the Lord Stone blessing. Without them, enemy mages burn me to a crisp in seconds.

The one that sticks in my mind the most is one particular Foresworn Briarheart that I met on a certain quest that had a devastating Icebolt attack. That one had me swearing at my PC for a while, it wasn't enough that it did huge damage but slowed me down to a crawl so my melee character couldn't even get close to him. Got him in the end though but I've never met any other Briarheart as tough as that one.

Oh I forgot about him. Eventually I just gave up trying to kill him, he kept turning my summons against me and without them I was nothing.

Kinda funny, they talk about slowing the speed your character runs backwards so you do not take advantage of the AI's deficiency...

...then they teach the AI to do the exact same thing...

Mages in this game can be very frustrating! I had a character concept in mind in Morrowind for a "Spellbreaker" class, a heavily armored Nord that absorbed most all magical attacks. I kind of want to see how that would work in Skyrim, but I think a Breton would be more useful for such an endeavor.

Giants are also a pain. One solid hit from them, and I usually wind up in orbit.

Giants become easy after level 25 when there's only 1 attacking you and not 2+. Mammoths & Frost Trolls become very easy after level 20.

The things I hate most are the Forsworn Briars and the Dragon Priests. Doesn't matter what armor or weapons I bring to the fights those things shred my hp in seconds making them into potion chugging contests. The Briars for whatever reason when I fight them have a good bit of HP and their initial charging attack hits so hard it can kill you if you get hit by more than a single swing. The Dragon Priests have supercharged versions of the Destruction spells players get and their aim is perfect, rarely missing you with their lightning AND they can spam it like crazy. The most effective strategy you can use for either of them is really just sneak attacks. Other than that having 100 weight in healing potions is advised if you want to go toe to toe with them. I spend most of the fights with Briars backpedaling and swinging wildly trying to avoid getting hit and fights with Dragon Priests tend to be me using Unrelenting Force or Slow Time to keep them from casting at me and even then both fights are dicey. I guess since Dragons and Giants turn into wimps pretty quickly it is kinda good to have some difficult creatures in the game though.

tough one...spiders, too many eyes  but really it has to be mages, those guys can give you trouble if they like ice spells (im a fan of fire so it makes it even worse to be beat by ice :cold: )

I have and they die pretty quickly. Both the ones I fought only required a couple health potions and with the use of dragonrend were easy to slash to death without much effort.

Nothing. When you can sneak up behind any enemy with an exquisite daedric dagger and do 15x damage in one hit, you never have an enemy that is truly dangerous...

Bah, only dual wield and can really have issues with this. The others can bash and stop breathes and attacks.

They burn me to a crisp with one attack and I'm a spellsword with 1-handed Daedric Sword & a restoration spell in the other hand named "Fast Healing", I don't even get a chance to use Dragonrend! I just run, currently level 28.

It doesn't work like that in this game though. Sure, they fly about a bit flaming but they will eventually land and try to take you on face to face and a melee character will make mincemeat of them.
