Which dungeoncryptcavebarrow do u think rocks hardest?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:40 am

My fave moments always seem to be exploring a huge, involved crypt with multiple levels and bosses. Usually a mask at the end or surely a dragon wall...just wondering since I haven't explored all of skyrim yet which is the biggest-best of them all?

Surely not the biggest or has the best combat, but I loved Yngol Barrow. I won't say anything else about it, but if you haven't been in it yet it's worth the trip.

Archwind Point or something along that lines. It is in the mountains south of the Throat of the World..

Go there are higher level and you get to fight BOTH a Dragon Priest and an Ancient Dragon.. A good test of your abilities! I also find it funny how the Dragon Priest will side with the Dragon and ends up fighting nearby Skeletons and Draugrs...Also, if you get a Draugr Boss, instead of Dragon Priest, there is a good chance that it will be fighting the Dragon when you get there. Such a fun thing to watch.

Haemer's Cavern/Shame.

It is a medium sized area containing Vampire Thralls and Vampires. There is another area just like this one, containing Bandits..I'll look for that later.

I saw the thread title and came here to post Yngol Barrow. Seems I wasn't alone. Just love that place.

Yngol Barrow. East of Windhelm on the water's side.

So that's it. And I'm not alone. This would probably be a boring place if not for the mysterious factor those balls gave off. Keep me on my toes haha. This is on the top of my favorite dungeons list, I've already listed the other. Just gotta find that third..

I love the sound there as well. That little barrow is somehow confounding and delightful.

I don't know if it fits on this thread, but I absolutely love Blackreach. It's one of my favorite places in Skyrim.

No it doesn't fit because blackreach is the most overrated area in all of TES.

I'm kidding ;p.

Those 'balls' people mentioned before are prolly sea ghosts which were mentioned in the book about Yngol, a Nord.

If I am correct, Yngol was a Nord who sent sail up north to try to cross the sea but was 'killed' by sea ghosts. Most likely what happened is they got side-tracked from watching them and well accidents happened. Those 'balls' also act just like the sea ghosts mentioned... They are curious beings.

I think I am correct on this.

Forelhost. You can loot hundreds of ancient nord arrows. And that the majority of the enemies there are ghosts. AND that each ghost has a special dagger called a dragon preist dagger. AND if you completed the companions, you can loot the armor of the ghosts. AND there is a dragon preist.

I'm sure there are many dungeons I haven't seen yet so perhaps I'll find a new favorite at some point but so far over 4 different characters I still come back to Lost Knife Hideout as my best "take your breath away" moment in a dungeon so far. I won't ruin it if you haven't seen it but I love everything about that dungeon. Just exquisite design for what you think at the start is a bog standard cave setup, very well done to whomever at Bethesda made that one.

Exterior wise, Deepwood Vale & Arcwind point are amazing. Interior, as others have said, Yngol Barrow.

Actually, there are Two Dragon Priests there if you come to that place at a high level and the majority of enemies are Draugr. You only get ghosts in the first few rooms then there are like over 20 Draugrs in one hallway! I can spend about 30 minutes fighting there.

Best thing is... The Draugrs and Dragon Priests spawn there! (A unnamed Dragon Priest will replace the named one) The ghosts do not, which I ain't surprise.

This. And Blackreach (Dwemer Ruin).

There's too many smaller dungeons that I like alot that I'm sure most of you have visited.
