I'm inside of that bunker right now where The Legion wants me to destroy whatever is inside of it, but Mr. House wants me to bring it to him.

Can I safely walk out of the Legion camp with whatever is inside of the bunker?

And what is the benefits of following whoever I might choose?

Right now I'm thinking of taking that thing out of the Legion fort, and then stab Mr. House in the back when i get back and take over The Strip myself.

Yeah. Caesar will assume the rumbling he hears underneath the fort is stuff exploding, rather than what you actually did.
