Also this thread:

This should give you a decent idea of which card to buy. Mainly, just make sure it's compatible with your other hardware, and any of the top 20 cards should let you run Skyrim on max graphics.

In the benchmark list, the GeForce GTX 560 Ti is listed higher than the Radeon card you speak of. But should I still go with the Radeon ? :P

(The radeon card is "PowerColor".. not ATI or Sapphire.. in case that matters :P )

I'd go for the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB AMP! personally, OR if you can manage a few extra $$ get the HD 6950 2GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102929)

Radeon HD 6870 is only marginally better than GTX 560 Ti so go for the cheaper one
BTW PowerColor is only a brand name it is still an ATI card

So let's assume I buy that Radeon card, or the GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB... how well will I be able to run Skyrim? Or others games, like Crysis 2, Battlefield 3 etc?

I just bought the GeForce GTX 470 for $189, and with a MIR, it will be $165.00.

For it being one of the best video cards out there, this is a fantastic deal. I would call it the card for the serious gamer who is on a budget. It ranks #11 on the site I posted.

Also, there's another thread posted by Bethesda that shows the best video cards for this game. I'll find it and edit it back in to my post above.

I have dual 6870's and I run everything at ultra settings with no hitches. And I run them that way without crossfire on so one should be sufficient to run this game at very high settings as long as the rest of your system is not junk.

Both cards should max out these games on resolutions up to 1920x1080(if you have a good CPU to power them obviously)

You cant quite max BF3 with a 560Ti, but you can run it on high with a few things turned ultra with a stable 60 FPS at 1920x1080.
Other than that, yes itl max.

Oh and when looking at the specs, the 6850 is slightly better, though the nvidia card seems (from the test Ive looked at) to be slighly faster, this is due to drivers, also the 560Ti is usually cheaper.
Really the 560Ti is "probably" the best bang for your buck. Especially since the 6850 is a 1gb version.

If you are talking about mobility radeon hd 6620,it should run the game on medium settings fine as long as you dont run on higher than 1280x1024 resol.

The place where I'm gonna get my pc charges 1300 swedish kronor for the 560Ti Amb 1GB.. that's 197 dollars
The Radeon HD 6870 costs less than half of that.

So, which one of these graphic cards would you recommend the most for Skyrim?

Creating a duplicate thread (in the wrong forum also) was totally unnecessary:

Im positive everything on my laptop runs skyrim EXCEPT for the graphics card. Im running a Radeon 6620g, which is an integrated card. I really need a definitive answer. Canirunit.com says i can run required but not recommended specs, but they are notoriously unreliable. Im about to finish paying for my preordee and I want to make sure I can run this game.

If i can run it, can I expect Low or Medium settings?
Both of you belong in the Tech forum, and in the appropriate Master thread.

Were talking about the radeon hd 6870 not 6850 here, and i think it is pointless to buy any of these cards with 2GB of VRAM as they are probably much more expensive.Better to go for Radeon HD 6950 or GTX 570 if you need that much VRAM
