Which perk do you love that other people think is a waste?

I just unlocked Unhindered and Windwalker perks in Light Armor, which are generally considered unnecessary and wasteful. And I just love how it makes me feel. People say these two perks are useless because light armors are very light anyway to begin with, and you don't save much weight. And people in light armor don't have to worry about stamina. But with this I'm better than when not wearing anything. I can sprint and sprint and not run out of stamina in battle. I also like taking Merchant perk in speech. Money is not a problem in later game, people say. Any investment in speech is a waste, they say. But it makes my life so much less aggravating in Skyrim until you get to that point.

I just get perks that fit my characters style/role-play. I don't care if they're not efficient or pointless. I just put perks where it feels right. I usually master a skill tree for a certain character just to show he is a master of Archery, Sneak or Light Armour, ect.

I grab the Lockpicking perks with my thieves. The goal is usually to get Treasure Hunter & the other related one, but I think the perks do make a difference, which is nice when you spend a lot of time in that damn minigame.

I also like the idea of the perks for maces/axes/swords. It's too bad they aren't more technically useful, but I still will occasionally take them, mostly for flavor, partly for the little boost they give.

I love decapitate for my one handed sword. I looks great and really is useful. That perk has ended many tough fights early and or just in time. Plenty of times I was never going to win a battle and then "pop" de-headification saves my life or at least my potions.

It is a cool animation, but to say that's all it's good for, is totally wrong.

I completely agree. I think this is the best perk in one-handed tree. Not only you get the cool looking finishing move, you get 25% extra damage on standing power attack. I do standing power attacks a lot.

In case you didn't know this works for 1h maces as well. I've taken off many a head with my trusty mace. Once thing I love about maces is the resounding crunch of the mace finishing move where it gets pounded into the face of my opponent. That's probably my favorite.

I love the "useless" lockpicking perks. I find Wax Key really fun and immersive for some odd reason. I also like taking the speechcraft perks at least to get better deals with the opposite gender and to be able to bribe guards.

The perk that slows down time when blocking a power attack. So useful and has saved my ass many a time when fighting multiple enemies like Draugr Lords, and sometimes the game will glitch out and I'll get stuck in the slo-mo time and I can run around hacking people to death watching the bodies respond in slow motion. It goes away as soon as you rest and its sure dam funny.

This is an AMAZING perk, one of the best for a warrior IMO.

The decapitate perk works with maces too? I prefer smashing and crunching to chopping and slicing so this is awesome news :)

I remember a thread complaining about most perks being useless in Skyrim, and Fallout 3's being better. Not sure which skill tree is the best, one is just as rewarding as the other one when it comes to the type of class that I'm using which primarily uses light armor, one-hand sword, destruction, so I guess I consider them the best.

Yeah my current character (see sig) is using Speachcraft, purely for RP purposes. I know a lot of people don't like it on here but it fits my character and that's all that matters.

Lockpicking. I like it for roleplay, and the Treasure Hunter perks are quite interesting. And I'm going to create a nice smooth talking vampire with all the overhaul mods.

OP - I have those ( apart from the Windwalker which I may now take), and agree they are worth it, merchant is great simply to unload gear.

I think I may take Fence as well, since there are glitches that make items appear as stolen, even though theybaren' making them hard to sell.

On Xbox, so no console to fix.
