i'm level 27 and my skills are....

Destruction - 76
Alteration - 75
Restoration - 56
Conjuration - 70

and lockpicking and speach about 40-50.

I've realised i'll need to level a new skill if i want to keep gaining levels and get higher than 40 . Struggling to think of one worth using. I DO NOT want illusion , had that before on another character , it would be good for pure mage but its just useless without perks and completely OP (but very funny) with them.

stealth doesnt really fit the play style , trade skills dont intrest me , can only really think of one handed or archery , maybe using bounded weapons.

Enchanting is magic/mage related...

Have you considered enchanting? I don't know a whole lot about it myself but it could also be paired with 1h or archery

like already said, enchanting is something you can take. you can use it to reduce magicka costs for destruction and/or conjuration spells. very useful.

enchanting and smithing sound a bit cheesy/op to me , i'll give it some thought .

Tempted to go bow , as i think i just have bow or melee to choose from really . Suppose i could use bow when im low on mana , but would be a chore to train as i doubt it would do any real damage till i trained it for awhile.

Bound bows any good with the perk that improves bound weapons?

Wish i had trained another skill from the start as any skill starting now from 20 will just be getting used for the sake of it for awhile.
