In which taverntown did you meet Sam Guevenne?

Where did you meet Sam?

Sam Guevenne travels around and drinks in many places in Skyrim. I'm curious to know if he truely does show up in any and all drinking establishments. Sam of course is the one you have a drinking contest with and triggers "A Night to Remember".

I drank with him at Candlehearth in Windhelm.

Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm on my first character.

On my second character I saw him in a different Inn (really can't remember where), but didn't interract with him. Then with the SAME character I saw him in Whiterun later on.

On my first character I ran into him in Winterhold. On another I saw him in Riften. I have 3 or 4 other characters but I haven't really noticed him anywhere with them...

The inn closest to where you hit level 14. For me, that was Rorikstead.

Would of thought riverwood was closer. Or maybe that inn isn't viable?

I am sure I met him there the first time. Funny thing is, second time, I think I was in Whiterun. I didn't bother drinking with him yet. So I am wondering, does he travel and I will see him again, or he will stay put in Whiterun now?

The first one was in Whiterun, the second in Solitude. My recent character met him in Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm, but I haven't done the drinking contest with him yet because I don't feel like ending up in Markarth.

I found him in Windhelm, then left and came back days later and he was still there. Haven't done the drinking contest yet but I assume he'll stay there.

Riften, but I think my game glitched becasue I would always beat him in a drinking game 1 aftr another and I would not blackout. :(

My first character got up to 50, and the ones since then got into their 20's, but I never met him until now. Does he spawn in EVERY game? It was in Riften, which I felt was a perfect location for the story, as it's a shady enough town as it is, but how since you wake up in Markarth you wake up clear across the map. Really adds to the "What the HELL happened last night feel?"

He'll stay in Whiterun. I didn't do his quest until my character was level 32 and he was still in the same place where I found him first, Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm.

On my first character, I met him at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.

On my second, at the Vilemyr Inn in Ivarstead.

My third has yet to encounter him.

I almost did that too.

Bannered Mare, Whiterun. For a "stealth" daedra quest it was pretty damn epic!
