yea and come on i have grown to love some strong companions i have recruited... y not give me an option to buy a slave yard behind my house and enslave up to five companions at your choice... then go back and select which one to use whenever you wanted... it would fit in with the environment of the game all bad a and cut throught but also realistic... i want slaves! Whips sounds like a good idea, I can tell Aela to mush by whipping her when we're going down snowy hill.

I'd like a snake-blade or a chain-flail for Jenassa  or even Aela, but not a leather whip, that's not a weapon in Skyrim, that's an invitation to get robbed, jumped, roasted alive, etc.....

There was a mod in Oblivion that gave you a whip as I recall.

How would a whip be practical? it would just bounce off any armour.

No I don't want to feel like Indiana jones.

I don't think anybody has ever died from one. At least in combat. It feels rather cheap as its we did it because it was cool. It does not exactly fit. At least to me. I say no.

I'm not opposed to them being included. They could have a chance to disarm opponents Indiana Jones style, which would be fun.

They strike me as a beast race weapon, particularly Khajiit.

And to the person saying that they'd bounce off armor, not everyone runs around in heavy armor or armor at all.

Whip to disarm, whip to possibly bring an archer into your range and stab them with a dagger in the other hand. Reset power attacks. At first i was like... come on, seriously? But now whips would be awesome. Can I get some rope/handcuffs if i dont want to use paralyze spells? But seriously. This would be neat.

Dark Elf Slave Traders vs Argonian Uprising anyone? Like Spartacus but for Elderscrolls...

Two things, firstly a flail weapon was shown in that gamejam compilation. And secondly, mentioning whips without mentioning Castlevania? That should be a crime. I would like a whip simply because more weapon variety is always a good thing.

Old school Castlevania/Simon's Quest fan chiming in here....
Whips aren't really a weapon. Not one you take into battle, anyway.

Well only the level one whip of Castlevania was actually a whip. The stronger versions are a morning star flail. I see no reason why those can't exist based on how cool it looked in the GameJam video they showed.

Yes, I remember the games well. I even have Castlevania on my phone. However.....

Well, as fun as whips might have seemed in the Indy movies, they're really pretty crap as weapons.... They can do some damage, but not enough (unless you get an eye or the nose) to really stop an attack. And yes, I do know whereof I speak - having been a horsewoman for many many years, I have quite a bit of acquaintance with whips. Nope - I didn't "use" them on the horses in a harmful way.... but there's nothing better for noise when you want a young horse to pay attention to his feet....
