I have been stuck trying to get the proper timing for the barbed gates in Ustengrav, and my whirlwind shout doesn't seem to move me all that fast either. Any ideas on timing the gates and moving me faster? All advice gatefully accepted.

walk up to the 2nd stone so the first and 2nd door are open and then hit your whirlwhind shout and immediately sprint through the 3rd gate. Make sure you hit the "sprint" buttons, not just run.

yeah, you need to wait until you reach the last stone, then hit the shout button, to whirlwind sprint. On PC, you sprint by pushing alt, im not sure about console.

I've done that twice using regular run and z to shout. That was fast enough for me.

as long as you get the timing right - i had heaps of trouble the first time around. i had to get my husband to do it.

Yeah, figuring out how to approach the stones is hard the first time; took several attempts.

I found that If I hold the shout button ( right bumper on x-box ) it work's alot better than if I just tap it, even though I only have the first part of the shout.
