When ever I try to talk to the informant in the steam room just before or just after he enters the game locks up. I wonder if anyone else has had or is having this problem? If so is their a work around.

I had that problem, and what I did was quicksave in the room outside of the small room you meet the guy in, wait til he goes in there, then run up to him to talk to him. Works for me most of the time.

Edit: And if that doesn't work, you could try waiting in the pool room. I'd have to guess that it's the steam or something in that room that's causing the crash.

you dont have to talk to the informant.
you can get into the basemant on your own. and the quest will continue from there.

i wont spoil anything else. but its not a big suprise

yes its a known issue . try walking into the steam room and when you get to the little room keep your back to the door. then try and handle what ever happens WITHOUT turning around . and when your done back out all the way keeping your back to the big pool. The pool is whats causing it IMO
