White Xbox 360 Slim

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 5:41 pm

I really think they should make a all white xbox 360 slim. I like the black one but the white color of the 360 was what made it refreshing for me to have/ look at b/c every console I've owned other than the 360 has been black or silver. I know they have the new star wars theme one and I think that one is cool but I've been wanting a 360 lately and I don't like the old fat one and would rather have a white 360 slim over the black one. But I like the white color, how many of you guys would like a white xbox 360 slim?

It would be perferct for them to have it release in 2012 or december of 2011 for me. Because there will be more games out for it then and right now i only would get a few games if I had a 360.

I would have liked white.. a year ago when I bought one. :meh:

Although I do like the matte black of my 4GB over the glossy finish on the 250GB S. I never want another gloss console again.

I agree 100% matte white, would be best to do. It would feel and look 1000x better. Thanks for mentioning that I didn't think of it.

It's pretty ugly... and overpriced at $449.

A slim with the color scheme of the classic version would be nice. I still have my original 360, but if they made a matte white slim I would probably buy it.

Between white and black I'd go with an Elderscrolls themed Xbox.

seriously though I guess I'd prefer white as dust wouldn't be as apparent.

Nah black is the way to go. I prefer all of my electronics black. Looks nicer IMO. I got one of the S models nearly for free when they first came out....its been sitting on my desk going mostly unused since then.

Eh, I would rather them announce the new consoles. Time for consoles to be updated.

They probably went with black because most home entertainment systems have black casings. Another reason is probably to throw back to their old school roots.

Its also the Xbox 360 slim. Black is apparently supposed to be slimming, right? :P

Changing the console design to white screams next-gen too much.

No it really just screams another color and more people will buy it.

I said an ALL WHITE 360. I like the star wars theme but I want an ALL WHITE one. And the gold controller is ugly, I'd much rather have the silver colored controller with the grayscale of the A,X,Y and B and black bumpers and triggers.

This is why we have paint. :hehe:

One of my friends painted his Gamecube and controllers white a few years back...It didn't look that good though, and the buttons tended to stick.

Which is exactly why I won't be painting a system. Especially since I never painted one before. That is completely stupid. I'd want the official white xbox, not the bootleg, white xbox that was originally black that your friend painted in his garage and the paint starts to peel and the paint is really thin so you can see the black under the white coat. No bootleg is not the way to go. Anyways i think it would be a good idea. I don't think they should make a big deal out of it if they made one though. They should just make an all white xbox and ship it, and instead of getting all these ads out for it, just make a regular commercial and instead of using the black one in the commercial they should be the white one.

I imagine if you did it properly, it wouldn't look bad or peel; taking it apart, removing all the old paint, using proper paint and primer for plastics, etc. It could be a lot of work, though.

Still would rather it come from the factory being white instead of painting it myself and I heard that by remove all the plates, you somehow void your warranty, so incase anything happens to it, I'd want to be able to send it back.

I waited for the Elite because it was black. I don't do white when it comes to my electronics, or much else for that matter.

I have a thing for black. My shower curtain, hand towels, bath towels and soap dispenser are all black. My kitchen is brushed steal trimmed with black, and solid black. (Kettle, Bodum- French Press, Thermos, dish cloth and towels.) Most of my clothes are gray or black. My bedding will be black in the near future but I postponed that for the moment.

So the answer is no, I like my black 360 Slim! I just wish it were matte black like the Elite rather than glossy black, but at least it is black!
