Whiterun home, can not use bed

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 7:27 pm

Game bug.

My character bought the home in Whiterun, and all the extras.

As I recall the first night it was usable, the bed that is.

Went out for a few days, came back and decided to join the Companions.

Now, the bed in the Whiterun owned house (Beechhouse something) is not useable as the
game claims it is owned by someone else.
Odd thing is the old home my char (have the key ) had shared with Uthgerd that bed is still usable.

I dont' know what happened but I suspect it may have to do with joining the Companions.

I've yet to discover how to reclaim ownership via the console. The commands I used to use in Fallout and Fallout NEw Vegas
do not appear to work. isowner is the old command.

Try setownership

Doh, Thank you.

I knew that but my muddled head had forgotten the correct command.

I need to break out my old hard copy of commands rather than rely on dead brain cells.

It worked, of course!

There is 2 beds in Breezehome. The bigger dualbed is free, small one propably belongs to the devoted woman follower from Dragonreach.

LOL. OMG. Your right. My brain damage is even worse than I had feared. I WAS at that single bed and now I've stolen it.

Oh my.

Oh well, now Lydia has a bed though it would be better if ...

Related problem/bug. The big bed in my Whiterun house never gives me the Rested or Well Rested attributes, no matter how long I sleep in it.
Other beds in inns, bedrolls, etc., all work normally.
This started happening after the house was decorated. I am the owner.

Lol don't worry about her, she never sleeps.. When ever I return home (in the middle of the night too), she just sits on the chair in your room and eats :X...

Not to my knowledge, not listed in my Active Effects list. I get the bonuses from every other bed I use.
Thanks for the reply.

Seriously, how does she stay so thin? She sits in that chair and eats 97 hours a day.

So ... why are there 2 beds in Breezehome? One, the single bed, is listed as "owned" and Lydia refuses to use it, and neither give the "well rested" benefit. Who else could own a bed in MY house?
