who can say that they tried to play with the 9mm

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:28 am

Well for the guns i will say that the 9mm is the best gun with extended mag and scope (or without) is the best to run around with at low lvl even at higher lvls its cheap
to repair and also alot of ammo rounds, hollow, armor p.
and u can use like the hole mag is needed in vats.

i will say from my experince that its is the best gun to use so far as a side arm.

any other wanna say against that ? please be my quest:)

The only sidearm/pistol that is even slightly difficult to find a steady supply of ammo/repairs for is the 12.7mm pistol... and even that isn't very hard.

Benny's pistol, Maria, is better than your standard run-of-the-mill 9mm anyway.

Feeding Ranger Sequoia often lead to death of dozens NCR Rangers......not that I have a problem with it, just that it have half a bar over 12.7mm....

I quite fancy the 9mm pistol and would love to use it all the time, but outside of sneak attacks its pretty weak compared to say a modded .357 revolver which is pretty much as commom as the 9mm. I usally use the 44.Magnum or Hunting pistol at higher levels, but i am tempted to stick with the modded 357. Revolver. I may actually try the 9mm now, as i have a sneaky character.

I am not really interested in the scope, i know it has extended mags, but does the 9mm have any damage bonus mods apart form the P+ ammo ?

I used to carry Maria with me as a "trash mob" gun. That is, creatures so weak they weren't worth using a bullet on from my "main gun". So to keep from wasting expensive ammo and gun wear-and-tear, I would shoot radroaches, rats, ordinary geckos, mantis, worker ants, bark scorpions, and Powder Gangers with Maria and standard 9mm ammo. Was actually kind of fun to occasionally do some "varmint" shooting like that. :gun:

I wanted to try to use a .357 but I didn't like how long it took to reload. I tried to use "That Gun" but it was too heavy and carried too few bullets even for trash mobs, while Maria was more accurate, carried way more bullets, did slightly more damage, and reloaded a hell of a lot faster too.

9mm is cheap to repair early on, but I really like Lucky. I just wish that I could mod lucky with the .357 mods. I went through almost the whole game only using Lucky and the Mysterious Magnum. Although I do like Maria.

Lucky is better than .357 with both mods.

My trash mob weapon is......ED-D, I have high sneak and companions would start charging on their own anyways......

I use the 9 mm --- until I find something else. I go back to 9 mm ammo when I get Maria.

The reason why 9mm isn't popular is... 10mm. And I mean both pistols and SMGs...

I'd have to say my Weathered 10mm is the best sidearm.

I prefer the 9mm over 10mm for the simple reason of design... I find the 9mm design to be more appealing, great look (even the generic ones) great firing sound fx, and useful Iron sights... The 10mm, on the other hand, I find clunky looking, chunky sounding, and has silly looking Lego block Iron sights...

The 10mm just looks terrible compared to the 9mm. It's graphics are so terrible I don't even like using it because I have to look at it all the time. I love the 9mm, wish it was more useful later on. Maria is nice, but I just love the feel of the 9mm.

Whatever gun I have that kills who is in front of me is the best gun for me.

As for preferences, I prefer the 44 Magnum. I know it is Cliche, but it does Make My Day.

Fair enough... I still haven't bothered with more than a few test fires, since the design is so unappealing to me... I sell all 10mm ammo and 10mm weapons immeadietly (which works okay since they are relatively common and the guns relatively valuable).

I used to use the 9mm, but I decided early on that the 10mm was far more capable of killing ghouls with, and just running around the wasteland with.
Mostly, I stick to my service or hunting rifles. Those are my pets. Anything that uses 5.56mm ammo. I've got tons and tons of that.
Until I get my lockpick high enough to get the gun hidden at Snipers Nest...that is ;)

If your on PC there is a mod that allows modding of the "special" guns, I added a suppressor to the Gobi rifle :woot:

Yeah. That's the one....:)
I've been hoarding .308 and buying it whenever I can. I think I've got a couple hundred surplus and the same in AP...

I would consider the 9mm my favorite weapon of the game along with the LMG and Marksman Carbine if only for it's design, it sorta looks like a Colt handgun with low light sights, i just wish it had a silencer.

The 10mm might be stronger but since it does'nt get a scope you have to use the "lego block sights" which svck for anything farther then close range or anything smaller then a deathclaw or super mutant.

I actully like the normal 9mm more then Maria because it's finish really makes the green low light sights pop out.

Maria all the way it's a shame you can't use the 9mm mods on it though, the extended mag would be great.
Also anyone else wish there was a silencer for the standard 9mm? I love it and only use the 10mm for it's silencer
