Who else only use stuff that looks cool?

I use full Miraak cause I like it, not cause cause of stats (which are awful). Who else likes to do that?

I find good items, then decide if i like the look. Ill use it even if i don't like the look if i need something better then what i have at the time, but once i start nearing the "end", i start putting more weight on looks rather then stats.

Aesthetics are important to me as I play my character. I only equip him and his followers with stuff that I like the looks of.

Once you reach a high enough level this game gets pretty damn easy, so I tend to use whatever is the coolest to me.

I always go for looks. I'll change the difficulty level to keep using low level armor if I have too.

Well that is part of the fun, I think someone should however check out some of the outfits in "Legend of the Seeker" and incorporate them that brown tight leather is really something and the period pieces are applicable...

it's too bad that Housecarls and Followers as well as Stewards only wear Default clothes unless they are with you Not very quasi independent or interactive, an easy change would be to give clothes under certain circumstances a priorty wear clause under certain siuations or better yet leave it as an open to player designation whether you are there or not and whether they are with you as a follower or not...

Stats almost never comes into play when I decide what I wear. Good stats would be nice, but it's not a primary concern. If I like the way something looks, but it svcks, I'll tough it out and find a way to make it work.

For me, it's always about the aesthetics, but my characters decide, I don't have much say. Sometimes we disagree.

Same. I hate most of the helmets so I take the armor rating hit and use circlets or hats if anything.
Also why I mostly only use Annekke. Since her starting armor is basic clothing, she'll wear pretty much any armor you give her.

Since you can actually hit the armor cap with Hide Armor, I strictly go by looks.

Ha! There is counseling for that... (for your character, not for you)

Same here. Most helmets look awful.

Lately, I am using blades armor with Zahkriisos. My current character loves using shock destruction at the moment, so Zahkriisos fits my RP and looks pretty good with the blades armor. Pluss it is Heavy so I get my perk bonus for having the whole set of heavy. Sometimes I switch to the circlet to get my 100% destro cost reduction if I am in the mood.

Depends on the level of my character. In the beginning stages, i'll usually scavenge whatever is best. As time goes on, i'll upgrade my character to better looking armor that still gets the job done. I kept my legionnaire in Legion armor for his entire life because that's what he represented.

Personally I hate the look of dragonpriest masks on my characters. They fit the actual Dragon Priests quite well but on my characters they just don't look right. So i'll collect them but never wear them despite their obvious stats.

Appearance means everything to me. When I create a character I work to create a specific look for them. I always keep that motif as I play. For example http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Skyrim/Skyrim512.jpg has a whole black thing going. She could never use an elven sword, as it would clash with her outfit.

Same here, but what is wrong with the robes' stats? I think they are very useful.

Where possible I always enchant clothing/armour that I like the look of rather than wearing something that looks awful.

I wish you could de-chant something you've enchanted and put another, better enchantment on it. I'm running around with a fantastic, unenchanted Daedric bow because I don't want to stick some lousy, low level enchantment on it that I'll have to live with for the rest of the game. The upside of this decision is that I haven't missed the bow's not being enchanted much. It is still a beast!

One of my characters, Ariel Morningstar, is a Fashionista at heart. She chooses what she thinks looks "cool" and outfits her follower and herself. She just smiths and enchants the items as much as possible at the time and when her crafting skills get better, she makes new outfits.

I use different gear for different characters, regardless of how good or bad it is. Most items you can improve any way.
