Who else thinks Dwemer-focused DLC would be purdy sweet?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 10:31 am

If the Elder Scrolls can control time and (based completely on guess) blot out the sun, then why in the name of Nocturne's nickers can't they bring back some Dwemer with some quests and some awesome new.... thingies?

And call me a Fable fanatic, but I wanna make some sweet love/babies with Aela. o3o And divorce any wenches I may have had the misfortune of wedding beforehand. >>'

It could be pretty dang cool, but the lore-heads would [censored] themselves.

Nah. I like the mystery. I think hints should be dropped and nothing else.

Saying that
Spoiler
play Morrowind, you can find a real live dwemer and have a nice chat

I would personally choose something else, but I wouldn't have chosen vampires either. So, maybe, it could be cool! :) Would not go over well with the community.

It could tie into that one quest in the college that you could do after becoming the arch mage. After that quest I thought a dwemer dlc was a given.

Not really. Plenty of Dwemer ruins in the game, I've had my fill of them.

I think it would be awesome. I believe lore states that they just disappeared and no one knows why. Plus they were the most technologically advanced so they could have gone to another dimension or something.

I don't think they should bring back living Dwemer, unless it's Yagrum Bagarn who can't die from disease or old age anyway.

Other options would be Dwarven Spectres (they were all over Morrowind, but there's not one ghost in Skyrim?), or a new kind of robot (maybe some kind of cyborg like Sotha Sil's Fabricants or a 'machine lich'?).

You hit quite close to what lore hints at... ;)

We already know nearly everything about the Dwemer. It's not a mystery anymore.

Probably won't happen. The whole dwarven mystery has been in TES for over a decade. They probably wouldn't reveal their biggest secret in a dlc

Yagrum would have perished when red mountain erupted surely...?

As long as the dlc doesn't call them dwarves (short people), I'm fine.

The reason the Dwemer are so interesting is because they have vanished. I'm fine with having just seen the one in Morrowind.

Then do so! But be patient with it. I wasn't too keen at first, but stuck with it. Eventually it revealed it's glory and converted me to the path of TES, away from the titchy Fable and faltering Final Fantasy.

By Sithis, I plan to! When I feel that I can pull myself from Skyrim enough to play it. lol

It's not a secret anymore. Hasn't been for a long time. The Dwemer became part of their mechanical god, Numidium, which failed to turn on.

It's the mystery that we don't know much about them, that is the most fascinating part about them.

I like being able to wonder what happened to them. It's just part of the mystery.
