I just realized that my character is going to look way better in New Vegas now that he isn't going to look emaciated. My Energy Weapons/some Guns character is going with the good old Buzzcut and Rough Beard and my Melee/Unarmed is going to rock the Terrorsaur and Muttonstache.

I sense sarcasm? (I'm not good at picking up on that sort of thing in writing) I want the hair & goatee because thats the hair I have and the goatee I have (At least its rather similar), I generally like to model my in-game characters after myself. :tops:

Seriously. Tired of seeing every NPC with one of 8 hairstyles, 26 pieces of clothing, and 3 voice actors.

I'd be more curious about: Who DOESN'T want more hairstyles?

They could always come up with a story for a massive lice outbreak and have every character's head shaved.
I want at least 10 different ponytails. (different in length and style.)

I agree there needs to be more ways to customize your head, not just hair, but also, ''face paint''. I'd love it if female characters could actually wear makeup, and male characters could put on face camo, and both could have tatoos or similar things.

Definitly more Hair styles for Female Characters. It gets old after a while having to pick Wendy the Welder in Fallout 3 as the only real female hairstyle.

I don't see how we can't have the hairstyles from Oblivion be in Fallout New Vegas. Its the same system (Gamebryo) for all 3 games Fallout 3, Oblivion, and New Vegas.

Hair I think can be quite varied in FO3 though most men didn't take advantage of the full array of facial hair you could have which was a shame, of course more options is always great.

I think the ability to make different faces would be great. In FO3 most of the NPCs (especially women) seemed to look the same and in character creator if I wanted to make someone look different they'd look deformed.

Finally, most importantly: have a bit more variety when it comes to voice actors

Does anyone actually have an answer to this? I'd hate to start the game get into character creation only to see the same 8 hair styles from FO3.

is fallout new vegas suppose to be about hair styling? also do you suspect you will be able to use the GECK to add new hair styles?, as such take care of your concern about limited hair styles.

All we really need is a length editor and a couple more styles. That would change alot and make for a greater bit of variety.

geeky center parting and soup bowl style just for comic effect. :nerd:

As of yet however I don't think I have seen any new styles in vids or screens, every character seems to have the smooth wave hair-cut . Might just be me though.

There is new stuff im sure of. At least we know there is an age slider so you can be old or young. I think the style is going to be like oblivion during creation. The reason fallout 3 didnt use that is cause you were a young advlt when this story takes place. With the courier it dosnt have a set age.

Personally I would find any extreme 1950's-centric hair styles out of place in or around 2200 AD.

yes but you have to remeber that all that the wastelanders know is the 1950's style.... That being said a few new hairstyles from the 2000's wouldnt hurt. Make a few hot hairstyle for girls and guys. Cause the hair for girls was alright in fallout 3. A length editor/slider would fix this a lot, lots more variety, also instead of already made collors personal collors. Like that collor thing that mmorpg's use. Were you can select many colors then darken or lighten it.

I do, I just usually use the "Punked" hair, because thats the exact same hair I have, only mine is flopped over on the right side and the area where his is just buzzed mine is completely shaved. And before you ask, no, I had that hair looooong before Fallout 3 came out.

Oblivion had horrible customization, IMO.
It was too abstract.
Whereas in Fallout's customization I felt like everything was so similar, I only played male characters, but every character I made looked very similar and I probably couldn't tell the difference between them...(Besides hair-styles and beards.)
I hope it's a love-child.
