I like it, I've got Boone following me around and were a sniper team. I wear the NCR mantle armor and the red beret. Btw, can you get the 1st Recon armor at all? the one Boone wears.

My current character isn't an NCR soldier... He's more of a... Private military contractor. Being an official NCR soldier is too much a hassle. I'm more of an off-the-books person.

Wouldn't be much fun seeing as they mostly just listen to their superiors and stand around a post and guard all day.
An NCR spec ops on the other hand.

I'm more of a Diplomat/Troubleshooter who attempts to negotiate among the factions and in general improve the NCR's image in the region.

Must be awful for the NPCs. Every time someone sends you on a quest you just reply "Patrolling the Mohave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."

I think I bought some Recon armor for cheap at Gun Runners. Or at least, it looked a lot like the Recon armor he's wearing, and it definitely wasn't factional (he won't wear factional armor).

Thats what i meant, I RP as a 1st Recon sniper. I use the sniper rifle and wear the NCR mantle armor and the red beret.

I have my NCR sniper character. He wears the NCR Ranger Desert armor and uses the Gobi Sniper rifle and sometimes the AMR. My companions are Boone and ED-E. BTW I got Boone his own NCR Ranger Desert armor so we look like a pretty sick sniper team :rock:

His pastimes are to go to all of the major CL camps and snipe them all without a soul there knowing about it. He has taken out Cottonwood Cove, Nelson, Nipton, and many minor encampments. Can anyone tell me about any other major camps other then The Fort? Thanks

I role play as a "problem solver" and "neutralize" bad elements.... a shame that the quest-givers still say that they will send someone to arrest the corpses.

I RP for factions all the time but now all NCR I guard Caravans and go on patrols and guard duty(Usally a place with some kind of action),and if i'm feeling bossy drill sergeant

Thanks! It just makes more sense to me. A soldier has to deal with regulations, rules of engagement, and chain of command. A PMC can roll in, get the job done, and get paid.

I started as a merc, but I kind of fell in with the NCR and now I'm on their agenda for the most part. When the work dries up, I take up some odd jobs, as long as nothing interferes with NCR work.

I would be more of a .... "NCR Executer".... I would do jobs that are top secret and that only the highest of the leaders in the NCR would go for me to do. As the jobs are dangerous and go against all NCR rules but when you need something done then you have to do it the right way. So I do the stuff the NCR needs done .....
