Who Misses the Black Horse Courier?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 6:36 am

I know this is kinda a complaint, but surely they could have had some newspaper, they were fun to read and actually made the world feel more alive? If we're to be critical what alternative could they have had, Khajits sold it in the Imperial city, so how about you could buy it from the Caravan groups?

It just struck me, and I miss it.

Given the fractured nature of Skyrim in this storyline, it wouldn't make much sense to have one newspaper that goes around the province.

The King was dead in Oblivion, something would have been better than nothing, is all I'm saying.

If you miss it then why don't you go play oblivion again? I play it just as much as skyrim.

I've been playing Oblivion more, and just did painter quest, and found out in new BHC you find out recognition of this quest. This is why I pointed this out, it seemed lacking, like during Thieves Guild quest

Spoiler
you steal and burn those beehives

And nothing, no one comments, no announcements, just nothing.

They should have magic-based "tv newscasts" kind of similar to Flintstones. mods!

Doesn't have to be a newspaper, but something would have been better than nothing, reading about your exploits, good or bad it feels much better. More immersion.

I was at some alchemy shop with an Imperial merchant lady , she told me she came "From one war to another"..
She also said that the Aldmeri Dominion totally destroyed Imperial city , what a mess ..

I agree.

It was a little recognition of how much you were helping or screwing up the world. That's what Skyrim really needed some form of immersion, what could they have used though, we must consider this...

There could have been two newspapers, an Empire and a Stormcloaks one. Both using the paper a propaganda to fuel their cause.

Now that is thinking hard, hell Thieves Guild propaganda too would have been awesome!

anything that would reflect the changes we cuse inthe game world has dragon born would be great, the comments of the guards about me being the new member of the companions is really starting to piss me off the radiant AI in the game looks rather flawed rigth now

You don't have a sense of humor?

I do have a sense of humour, but would rather serious suggestions, like one about how stormcloaks and legion have a newspaper for propaganda.

I was being serious. I spent many, many hrs in Cyrodiil. I read that thing twice. Partially because I hardly ever came across one to read. I thought they were all the same anyway. Even if they were not, it wouldn't do that much to the table. Besides, Skyrim needs a lot more than a paper to increase the immersion. Nothing you do means anything.
