So Who's running out to marry Lydia?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:55 pm

Now that 1.5 allows for marriage with Lydia, I bet there are a lot of folks who may be starting new toons just to do this.

I think for a lot of us, Lydia holds a special place in our heart because she (for most) is the first housecarl we get and the one who has had our back the most through many of the battles.

Heck, I already have toons where I married Senna, Mjoll and Muiri, think it may be time for a new one with my first love Lydia.

Ysolda is Khajiit friendly and okay with splitting some skooma with her hubby, so nah. I'll stick with Ysolda.

Actually you would still have that but in one package, wait wouldn't that mean Lydia is both spouse and housecarl?

I married Lydia once...at Boethia's shrine.

If you haven't already guessed, I'm not too crazy for her, or marriage for that matter. I do however like Ysolda for some reason, so maybe one day I'll try my hand with her, but definitely not Lydia.

I think there was a whole bunch of love for Lydia when the game came out,but since then the truth came out.
She's just plain lazy, all she ever does is eat bread in my room

I have just started a new character today since the new patch came out,and I've decided to bring her along again.
She still breaks stealth immedietley, something the 1.5 pach is supposed to fix.
I guess I'll be leaving her at home again.

On my favorite character Lydia died before I could even try to marry her. But I took the weapons and armor that she had been wearing and I have a memorial shrine in Breezehome where she would sit because she was a brave soul. Live long in sovengarde!

Lydia is the bane of every sneaky character's existence.

Here's my typical scenario:

"Keep it down Lydia... trying to shoot this sleeping Draugr..."

-"Oooh... what does this button do? OUCH!"

It's enough that she's sitting next to my bed like a creeper, I ain't tying the knot with her. She'd most likely trip and fall over it, anyway.

I don't know what you guys are talking about my Lydia never had much trouble with traps. Whenever it was an intricate one I would tell Lydia where to go to avoid it.

Lydia is a freaking skooma addict, I wouldn't be suprised if she took 100 gold every time you talked to her

What is the deal with Lydia? She's as dull as a board, like all the other housecarls. Make a new toon just for her?!

I have sort of observed that Lydia's response to the Player is sort of Game to Game dependent.

With my PC Character, she is sultry looks, care and consideration, a great battle partner and appreciative of being together.

On my XBox, she whinges, she stands with back to me, there is little eye contact, she walks into me then lets out sounds as if it was My Character's fault. She is slow, and is more easily stuck behind objects than on the PC.

Maybe I read too much into the interaction in Pixel Land. Maybe it is the capability of the Character on the Platform.
