I don't know if Ulfric's temper would serve Skyrim well in such a difficult political period, where treading on the wrong toes at the wrong time could spell Skyrim's destruction.

Ulfric doesn't deserve to be High King because he covets the throne. True Leaders are thrusted to their position because the people will it to be so, not because they desire it and thrust themselves up there.

On a side note, I think the real reason Ulfric spares Elisif is because he is going to gift her to himself on a job well done. Well played, Ulfric. Don't blame ya either, Elisif is rather easy on the eyes.

What about the actual Jarl of Solitude? That woman. I would like to see her take responsibility instead of just handing everything into the hands of the empirical bastards.

Elisif. I felt sorry for her, she's way out of her depth. I suppose she could grow into the position over time but she doesn't strike me as the type of person with that strength.

Lovely idea, but Skyrim is not a democracy. Members of the nobility are in positions of leadership because they inherited them from their forebears, or were placed there by a more powerful member of the nobility. High Kings/Queens sit on Skyrim's throne because Mommy or Daddy passed the privilege down to them or a bunch of other nobles decided to give it to them by majority vote.. of the nobles themselves, not the people. The "people" don't really have a say in the matter, unless they want to take up arms in support of this or that noble in the event of a dispute over who gets to rule. That's about the extent of their input.

Elisif would most likely become Ulfric's bride, and the chances of them reproducing( or at least try) would be fairly high.

Given the persistent notion that Ulfric is some kind of intemperate hothead, I'd really like to see specific examples of this that have actually been witnessed by players who interact with him. Because I've done the CW on both sides, have had just about every dialogue exchange that's possible with him in just about every situation, and I have yet to see any more or worse displays of "temper" than are put on by Balgruuf, for instance, or Tullius, and none of them were inappropriate to the situation at hand IMO.

For the most part, Ulfric comes off as a very deliberate, thoughtful, and "cool" character IMO. Where's the yelling, the screaming, the pounding on the table, all the stuff you'd expect to see on a regular basis from a character who some people keep trying to insist has "too hot" of a temper to be this or that or some other thing? It just ain't there, people, or if it is it's in some Bizarro Skyrim that I haven't discovered yet.

I'd either vote for Idgrod, Balgruuf, or Dovahkiin, every other Jarl seems useless.

She hates him. She's not going to marry him willingly, and Skyrim is not medieval or dark age Europe despite the surface similarities. Nord women have the same rights and legal status as men, they are not property to be passed around or married off against their wills just because someone else decides it's a good idea.

None I suppose, his own steward claimed he wouldn't miss his temper however, and his steward seemed to be fairly loyal to him.
